I dread to think this is true, but I’m beginning to think that there is a Marketing PLOY to place the franchise in NON-fanbase group think. As if one to assess the play-ability of a game in a category where people who DID NOT even see the film, were to be able to play the game and have their own expectations.
Eg. a 60 year old game player from a demographic who stopped playing games in their 20s but managed to pick up the game because they have now children in their 20s, them i ntheir 60s, and started to have a general discussion about games. This demographic seemingly, or theoretically, makes up 10 % of the player base. Whether true or not, constitutes a particular legitimacy to aggregate $$$resources to.
Does this exist or not? is this a demographic that makes any sense to appease and give development resource funding to?
I mean don’t get me wrong, I believe there are oldies between the age of 40-50 who are legit the original audience of the film franchise, but there are alot of people on this forum who are legit the starving audience between the age of 20-40 who belong somewhere.
