Disney. Because you don’t fuck with Disney. They basically own & run the courts. They’ve continuously bought the US Justice System & funded politicians for their owns ends since the 1970s. They’re the sole reason that Copyright laws are so fucked up in the modern day, and they’ll keep doing it time & time again. The Thomas Brothers are fucked here. They’ll be lucky to walk away with financial stability from picking a fight with the Mouse, let alone the rights to Predator which they SHOULD have but they’re not gonna get it because Disney will destroy you over pocket change let alone an IP.

You don’t seem to grasp the sheer hold that Disney has on the Courts. The only reason that Disney is Counter Suing the Thomas Brothers is to make an example out of them and fuck them over financially for daring to try and take what is rightfully theirs. Disney is going to curbstomp this entire case, not because they have any valid claims over the Thomas Brothers or because the Law is in their favour, its not, but because they will literally buy the Courts out, bribe the Judges and threaten the hell out of the Brothers. Disney isn’t going to give up a single one of their IPs ever, let alone that is actively making them money & they’re making content for: they’ve literally forced Copyright Laws to be changed on several occasions every couple of Decades just to maintain control over Mickey Mouse who SHOULD have become public domain decades ago.

Their Vice President isn’t an IP that can make them Millions every few months. They don’t give a shit about people, they give a shit about making money and how they present themselves to the casual audience. No shit they wouldn’t protect a nonce in court, that’s bad optics. Rest assured 90% of the rest of Disney’s High Ups are guilty of the exact same. They just haven’t been caught yet. And when they do, they get thrown to the wolves.

Disney has never lost an IP and never will. They hardly lose any lawsuits period aside from kids literally getting eaten by alligators at disneyland. Anything short of Mickey punching your kid in the face isnt going to cut it.
They have an army of very expensive attorneys that they pay very large salaries to for retainers just to sit on standby for when they need them and fly them around usually just to settle things outside court and bribe people onto signing NDAs.
That said if Disney takes an unheard of L which isnt going to happen AvP itself is dead because the IPs would be under two different distributors
I’m actually not sure what Thomas brothers are thinking aside from PR stunt suicide. Or that F13 lawyer really has some issues with Fox and convinced them he could beat the Mouse.
