Could a Translator device be the NEXT STEP on the attack on Yautja

Maybe not in the movies but maybe in THIS game we could get a computerized translator for all the things a narrative needs?
Could this be the break through this game franchise will have going for it?

Imagine this:
A device used throughout the entire game that communicates simple words to the human user…
a vocabulary that expands throughout the game…as we try to figure out what it wants. Through investigating slaughter scenes…one location after the other the Yautja picks up simple words in which it uses over and over again, which our human FT picks up.
a menagerie of digitized voices spliced together…
the Yautja clan on Earth wants their message heard and our FT can (if they are willing) decode it. But its like a open world Sub plot.

If you can figure it out which could take 2 or 3 play throughs…you could.

That would be fucking awesome!
Its like - not even something the films delve into but WE KNOW , that they use mimicry to communicate. Whether its to lure…to kill or maybe for something more?
Maybe they are luring in order to communicate!
MAybe they have a messaage!

I mean, Yautja already have a translator built into their helmet. I suppose humans could take the tech and figure out a way to operate it.

The idea here is a little iffy for me though, it seems too detective-like.

Also, some Yautja have communicated to humans without “luring” them.

Examples:

[SPOILERS AHEAD]

In Predator : Concrete Jungle, Scarface communicates in a joking manner to MOTHER after she talks to him about how “He is the father of Neonopolis” or some crap. He says something along the lines of “I promised you a night to remember baby! Didn’t I promise?”.

Again in Concrete Jungle, when Baby Blew is about to die to Scarface, he repeats her dialogue from earlier, saying “What I’ve done to men, you wouldn’t believe…”.

Once again, when Scarface is about to kill Hunter, he mimics Bruno and says “There’s only room for one monster in this town!”, and then after killing him, he says “I’m the boss of this city!” - mimicking Bruno again.

In Predator : Hunters number 2, when the blonde guy is going to knife-fight the Predator, he says “Texas style.”. After he says this, the Predator (without his mask, just raw mimicry from his own mouth) repeats “Texas style…”.

And as you probably know, City Hunter mimics Harrigan a CRAP ton of times.

So, they don’t always use mimicry for luring, sometimes they use it like normal conversation.

Well, yeah…
To reiterate…the end game is to have a particular message of some sort (like a secret technology or algorithm that they wish to share with the humans). which is what i’m getting at.
All of the mimicry lines end up in their vocabulary storage so to speak.
And by the end of the game, if you pick up on all the mimicry lines, there is like some rosetta stone (if you will) that can translate the entire Yautja Code that has been left in their vehicles.

Like…tHe WY mother? I never read the book or played the game. so…

[SPOILERS AGAIN]

Yes, MOTHER aka Isabella Borgia’s body was sold to WY after Scarface killed the Borgia family and Isabella herself. She wasn’t alive as WY’s MOTHER, but they took her knowledge and personality and put it into a computer.

Wait, nevermind. The second mother was her granddaughter, Lucretia, aka WY’s MOTHER.

when canon gives me a headache.lol!

Did we not learn from predators?

Also why would they do that?

exactly! I know, its an enigma isnt it? Thats why it would make a great open world premise!

No it wouldn’t. Because it doesn’t make sense. Especially if you don’t explain it.

Ok…MImicy used by a dozen predators we fight in the game. FT mastermind programs a database has all of it in there.
FT finds some tablet…or something that has some kind of message ready for Mankind in which Yutja have left behind.
FT begins to use these mimicy database to figure out their language. …

I’m mean i’m just spit balling, i’m not writing the bible hear!

OK

OK

OK

wat

OK

Seriously why would the Yautja give humanity anything? You want something that completely separates from their character without a reason.

No…man…they don’t want to give them anything…they just have a declaration in their own language that they have in their custody in which the FT discover. Or maybe its something Dutch yanked out of the Gauntlet he wears!

And the Yautja who are also travellers, actually do some kind of writing of sorts…maybe not like Christopher Columbus, but some kind of document of their travels…and this document reveals stuff about what they do…how they do it…etc.etc.

Jeezus …use your imagination!

Uh huh.

i"m just spit balling. Its like you’re reading too much dude. Here is where you’re supposed to say…No how bout this…and about that instead! Etc.etc…I’m not going to juggle your joogags.

It’s called criticism.

Fine

What if we translated the predator language and we get a story where a group of predator hunters uses audio recordings to play mind games with the Yautja?

You mean like there are 2 factions of Yautja and one is manipulating the other faction to out do them?
And the FT arrive, find their recordings, decipher it, and realize they are in a war of clans?

Then the FT try to outsmart BOTH of them! They LURE both by figuring out what to say to both of them…and kill them all or something!

No. Thinking basic hunt but with the hunters having Yautja recordings. Like Yautja do to humans.

What? They don’t want to communicate or help us, they just want to hunt us, look they travel far reaches of space just to mount us on their alien fire place, also that goes against what yautja believe, they don’t allow low tier worlds to take their technology because it would always end up a Fuck you, then it would explode by the Predatorsimage

Predator google translate and deciphering is always cringe. Looking at you Predator 2018.

They should either talk on rare occasions through mimicry and the signature distorting/remixing voices or not at all.

They shouldn’t need all that to figure out preds are fighting. Nolan didn’t. Generic sniper guy didn’t either.

Part of what’s intriguing about it is that preds just start killing eachother when you expect them to come after you but you’re not entirely sure why. The safest bet is to just start shooting.
