Could we get alternate long claims?

This isn’t a needed addition, but it would be pretty cool I think.

In my opinion, it would be pretty awesome for the predator to be able to see the long claims, but not cinematic, because it could obscure their awareness of enemies around them.

So, basically long claims with the animations displayed in the cinematic version, but the predator sees it with no cinematic included.

I’m sorry if this would be hard to implement, I don’t know the first thing about coding.

Hope you take this into consideration if you see this.

Oh and if anyone replies, please don’t argue. This is simply my little suggestion off the top of my head. Can’t tag devs because I’m new.

Yes please! I was also thinking it would be cool if on short claims pred doesn’t peel the skin off the skull so you could see their custom head hanging from my loin cloth.

It’s come up, I think it could be interesting as long as claims can still be interrupted.

How would this work tho maybe over a body theirs 2 other buttons to click each having their own claim vid?

being able to string up bodies in tress would be awesome.

Holding the claim button brings up a small menu where you then press one of the dpad buttons to select a kill (like f13 sorta). You can have 4 different trophy kills selected. Maybe you can even move FT around after your raise them up by the neck (also like f13). This could also help with body blocking. He would would also have invincibility frames while he’s got a FT by the neck and you could use them as a shield.

The different animations are already there. I’d be ok if illfonic makes it a customization option in the character menu to choose 1 of those claim animations for your predator loadouts.

A bit like the Aliens in Colonial Marines.

Claim animation, taunts for the FT and predator, animations for interacting with things… This game needs so many things…

And different noises! Different roars. I still don’t get why when starting the match, when ending the match and when the pred cries out in pain because of the healing kit, theres that exact 1 roar.

The same reason they keep making predators DLC, its cheaper :)

Yeah. Always thought it was too generic. For me, it wouldn’t have to have many new roars, but just a few would be nice. Tired of hearing the same, predator roar all game. They should also make the mimicry wheel work better. It’s so easy to tell it’s not a real fire team member, it’s coming from a tree. Maybe make a marker when predator says “over here!”, or it just doesn’t work, it’s not even a fire team voiceline. Maybe add the optional click sounds to the wheel, that would be cool.

Yeah, I agree. This game needs a lot more additional content for it to really click with the community. Variety in missions, animations, maps, modes, customization, I hope they add stuff soon or this game is gonna implode, I hate to say it. This game has so much potential, they just need to find the right way to do it. I love this game, but I’m losing interest very quickly, every mission feels the exact same. I’m excited for the city hunter, but we need more than a predator class and weapons to really get people interested. And if people do get interested, we need queue changes, or it’s gonna be dead all over again. I hope they make the queue like F13 the game, it’s a preference, not guaranteed choice.

It would be cool, we all need a bit of concrete jungle in this game, don’t we? Choking in games has always been cool no matter what. And with the select kill, yes, that would be way easier. You could select shorter ones, and longer ones, and they could also be cool in the specific situation. That back breaker claim on a building? Yes please.

That. Would. Be. So. Cool! It wouldn’t be too hard I don’t think, you would already have the head rendered, you would just need to switch it out for the detached head in a viable window for the head to be rendered with the spine. Wouldn’t be seamless, but it would still work pretty well, they could figure out animation improvements along the way. This game needs small additions that improve the cool factor a little bit too, not just variety changes. By the way, you got some cool ideas, man! Every time I see you it’s another idea I didn’t expect, and would love to see in the game.

Yeah, that would be pretty cool. You see them once in a while in game I think, but It would be awesome to perform that action of stringing them up yourself. Maybe the ability to grab the dead FT, bring them into a tree, and then string them up there, where they drop down hanging by their feet. Or could be a trap like a bear trap, but it shoots out a string that ties around the tree really fast, and grabs their foot. The first one would be cooler I think though.
