i actually did you just ignored it
crossplay on means lower times for everybody but too hard for you
Crossplay and long ques
Nu uh only weak scrubs run.
Real men diffuse and have sex with the corpse.
Isnt that right @REYNOSO_FUA11
But its not a solution for everyone its a solution for some and it will do more harm in the long run than the small amount of que time relief that is a possibility in the short run. Taking away choice is never a good solution.
If the gap in performance between the two wasn’t such an issue, as well as the difference in control mechanics and control application. Then yes crossplay would be a much more viable option that many would be happy to turn on me included but that is not the case.
Its not by any means a fair fight for either side Pred or FT, like @BadBlood said no matter how pro I am with my bicycle its still a bicycle, now of course the argument will be made that a certain level of skill plays a large part and you would be right except the obvious hardware advantages make more of a generalized increase of ease and decrease of skill across the board.
So in summation mandatory crossplay will be another nail in the coffin for this game’s player base.
Its hard enough to keep people playing beyond the initial climb up the level tree if they even make it that far that is.
But this game isn’t based on the movie
And Dems da roolz
RED DEAD REDEMPTION OPPRESSIVE SNAP AIM ASSIST AND BULLET MAGNETISM and bonuses for people enabling crossplay, jk but tough subject
hell idk outsource to treyarch and let them fix the controls and balance crossplay since illfonic can’t do it zzz. Maybe they’ll actually give FT interaction animations while they’re at it.
That’s hard core stuff right there
Lol what better way to assert dominance?
Stop lmao
I’m out, done being on the forums for today 🤣
Give aim assist to consoles much like COD did for console players to even out PC vs Console and that fixes the issue. The thing is it is doable, the other as @JelouGaming stated most people are playing this game on laptop, pc’s with 1060’s and few 2700’s that they still only get 30fps-45fps at best. Very few have 3600 or 3700’s. So, extremely rare to run into if at all. Therefore the only real advantage they have is mouse and key which can be balanced by giving decent aim assist so now on even grounds. Que issue would be fixed, consoles wouldn’t feel disadvantaged, and PC players would have an easier time finding games because shockingly their que times are worse than consoles.
Thing is, something has to happen. Even before the new customs ques were in rough shape. I get this game doesn’t have a massive player base, but there is still enough to support this game online with mandatory crossplay. max a que for predator should be is 5 minutes. Once in a blue moon has it been to that point. Buffing FT to the point they did didn’t fix it, bringing in new players due to fortnite and the NFL player didn’t help much, adding a decent update hasn’t changed much. They are running out of options and this is the only viable one I see they can control.
Sony and Epic have control over if it goes to Xbox and Steam, but xbox probably won’t happen this late in and steam is questionable due to only helps PC not console if they did. We are at a point of something has to happen. I would rather be stuck going against PC and console getting destroyed 3/10 of my games, but getting to play within 5 minute ques vs getting 5 games a night if I am lucky and winning 5/5
Lmao
I’ve yet to hear a compelling argument as to why the larger PS4 player base is obligated to support the smaller niche PC player base.
Wait times are no different for PS4 players when activating crossplay, and PC players are using superior equipment and input controls which gives them a significant advantage over PS4 players.
Why should PS4 players be forced to play at a disadvantage?
Majority of the PC users I’ve ran into and on discord don’t have big fancy Pc’s with the newest graphic’s cards. Loads of them have the older ones that are yes better than console, but not by much. Aim assist again fixes the balance issue console vs PC much like COD did and it works. It’s no different mostly due to one person having crossplay on won’t change it when the majority have it off.
And I guess because they bought the game and have has much of a right to enjoy it as does console. Been a few games that came from PC to console and PC had to support the smaller niche of console players till it built up. It happens. There would be more PC players if it was on steam, but many don’t like purchasing from the Epic Store. If the roles were reversed, and people had to rely on PC to find games, but they turned off crossplay console players would be just as upset.
Aim assist doesn’t help as much as you would think and can be a hinderance in many situations, how does the game differentiate between where it should pull your reticle? To body? to head? To AI? to Pred? How much does it affect or not effect when you pass over multiple enemies while trying to hit the Pred? And again taking away control and forcing one side to deal with something the other side does not creates more problems, using COD is a terrible example because there is not a different game mechanic for the other side everyone is shooting guns at each other and has the same control mechanics and application and it is a much simpler game to balance around.
Crossplay is not the answer to this problem the answer is fixing the fucking game, its optimization and balancing it correctly based on actual data from all ranges of skill not just by whether or not the devs get their asses kicked whenever they actually play their own game, if the game was balanced in a way that gave new players a chance at learning the game in a FUN way and allowed it to be more of an example of skill and not clear balance teeter totter than que times would decrease because you would have more players sticking around and having fun playing the game.
Then use Evolve. Where people were able to hit crawling, jumping, leaping monster with controller due to the aim assist. Unlike here where if a pred jumps over a ps4 players head or sprints in a circle they just can’t hit it outside their strafe comfort zone.
Or Apex/Titanfall that have a degree of verticality. Not hard and not a new thing for crossplay games.
I am more interesting what would happen with the aiming if the predator is cloaked. I mean if it would snap to him, when the human did not even notice him it would be bad… If you don’t snap to a cloaked predator but the human noticed him there, its also bad… No idea how they could pull it trough.
Did the monster turned invisible in that game or have many AIs running around providing more targets? I did not play it.
They could teleport behind you which required turning on a dime which PS4 players cannot do vs a pred in the current state of the game
They could put some key to instantly turn the players 180 degrees but how about the rest? In this game the predator can be between lots of AI, he can be in cloak, how do we snap to him?
Has any game tried this and it not been completely disorienting? I remember it being a thing on like two ps3 games and it was garbage.
Strength of aim assist is based on distance. Less so with cloak. No AA for a full invis pred. People seem to forget AvP2010 had aim assist also.
