Crossplay and long ques

Do you have a better idea? How else can you have controller guys turn around really fast when the predator jumps over them?

As @Finessology said use Evolve then as an example, their Aim assist worked on monsters who could move just about any direction and it worked. A.I. it ignored. As for if Predator is cloaked it shouldn’t snap onto Predator. It only activates in certain situations to correct aim slightly not if you are way off. Fixing the game is happening, but slowly. The optimization is about as good as it’s going to get at this point, and the game can be fun, but the ques as they are turns majority a way. I see a 20 minute que timer and I immediately go to another game. I am not about to sit for 20 minutes to play the side I want to.

I again don’t see a lot of options to keep this game going. Especially on PC or on console. I don’t enjoy going months not playing a game I purchased because I can’t get into a game in a reasonable time

@Xan84 this also answers your question about the A.I. and cloak a bit as well as what Finn gave you

Controls that aren’t garbage. Look at Apex Legends or Titanfall where people are literally grappling and swinging around and pretend you could kill anyone like that with PH:Gs unreal engine marketplace default ass ported controls.

Well you could be right, I don’t use a controller aside for a few games I play on my PS4 (the exclusives).

again it’s a band-aid not a solution, and evolve is another not great example cuz that game is not only DEAD but also didnt have as many factors to deal with, and as far as tracking the Pred while he’s leaping aim assist would not help that as much as you would like and also can cause more problems, what if your running away from Pred to reinforce and he pops in front of you, you shoot at him to make him reposition and the game forces you follow him as he does? Just because you didnt let go of ADS quick enough? And PC does not have this “Aim Assist” forced on them when they play it creates yet another uneven playing field for every spud this “assist” helps it can pontentially damn many more that can control their aim and prefer to do so, Im not the best FT player probably not even one of the best but I have very little problem spinning around to hit a leaping Pred seeing as how they move on a track once they leave the ground, that is more of a sensitivity and skill issue not a need for a forced mechanic just to justify making crossplay Mandatory so that one side of the player base doesn’t have to wait as long.

Resident evil does it well imo

I am sure they can make it optional if they put it in.

Well, I don’t know what to say other than something is better than nothing. Would rather see it implemented and try it than them do nothing at all. Because current state it’s close to dead on one platform and dwindling on another. Fixing the game is just now starting to happen, but optimization won’t get any better. Making the game more fun is a band aid as well. Add two new maps, new mode, few new gimmicks and it’s new wow factor is gone in a week. That’s all that has happened since day 1.

So, better to do something that doing the same tricks over and over.

You tap it and it follows intially with some correction based on how far the target is and how generous the aim assist itself is. Have you played a console shooter before?

I will say this, if you guys think illfonic can implement anything like this right, you have far more fate in them then I do =))

There’s a very very light aim assist for controllers already, just extremely half assed and you can’t adjust the specifics of it under settings like most modern shooters can.

Really if a pred is right in an FT’s face or around midrange pred should be dealing with very strong tracking but instead its pretty much the same across all distances. It also doesnt help vs leaping at all which is the biggest point.

Good thing you need bad graphics in this game

Ya but there’s still the problem of locking onto targets.

There is a fine line and its not hard to cross where it becomes to good and predators could very well start to complain. I mean imagine if your target snaps to a cloaked predator. Or if you just horizontally move the target and if the predator is around that line it snaps to him, even if a little. It will give away the predators.

I have no problem and I am on controller, yes aim assist helps, but isn’t made to aim for you hence assist

No snapping to cloaked preds unless its in that sprinting/leaping state where you can clearly see the pred regardless. This really isn’t a new thing. Apparently I need to replay crysis 3 multiplayer. One of the CODs had cloaking and parkour too lmao if they can make it work with the most generous aim assist on earth anyone can.

And yeah I have and I know how it works but these “solutions” are to accommodate casuals much like all of the “balancing” that Illfonic has done to this point, the unfortunate truth of it all is that this game should have fallen into the hands of a more competant company, even all of this discussion means as much as it has meant up to this point close to nothing, nothing offered here is a long term solution just biased opinions that go no where including my own for that matter, and about all that does happen here these days is someone’s ego gets slighted and they dump a grumpy, rinse repeat. I Love this game have since it came out and will probably play it til its dead just not exclusively as I had been, and its not the que times it’s the lack of content a consistently working game and the teeter totter balancing that is and has been my main issues with it.

Fuck yeah, and the last thing they see before they arm the bomb is this face.

Filthy Casuls and fortnite kids make up most of the playerbase atm unfortunately so they’re not necessarily wrong. Lowering the input skill gap would make it so these lobbies where half the team deals 0 damage to predator stop happening though.
