What is the meaning of the crown next to my name on the PS5? When I first started out, it took a while to get it. It seemed to go away when I lost a few matches in a row, but came back when I consistently won them after. Now it’s always there.

its party host i mean it says right there when your start a party… nothing morethan that .
when you start one invite of a friend…it happens.

Mmm I don’t start parties though. I play public mostly. It’s not just in game. It’s even on the loading screen. It also never goes away unless I lose a few matches in a row.

It means the game automatically puts you in a party, even if the party is a party of one (yourself). It’s been there since the V3 release. You probably just noticed it, or you didn’t have anyone added on your friends that also has the game.

It shows for everyone but is only visible to each one.
This means, everyone who is “in a party” even if playing solo as predator or fireteam, will have the crown visible to themselves and only themselves.
The only way you will see the crown in someone else and not you, is if you are playing in a private match or a party with friends and you are not the party leader/host. You will see the crown on whoever is the party leader/host only when you are in THAT party.
Is not glitchy, is just a function that was added and not explained by illfonic and we had to figure it out by ourselves, as always. If you are not someone who actively plays with other people and do private matches, is understandable that it may be confusing and don’t know what the hell it means.
