Cyber punk 2077 did it.

They literally came out and apologized for their game simply not functioning.

Are we going to sit here and act like everything that has happened with this game is “as intended”?

I’m perplexed how a AAA studio can display here humility within their first months drop of a game, when we STILL receive radio silence as this game has plummeted to 10 dollars.

Some people have dropped MONEY on this game.

As a consumer of this game, think it would have been beneficial to the treatment of this title to level out the consumer and provide hope.

Think its too late at this point now.

Thoughts?

While it is scummy what CDPR did regarding last gen consoles I’m not pissed off at them at all. I understand why others would be pissed and rightfully so but I haven’t experienced many horrible bugs as other people and I’m on PS4 pro. They did however take the blame and gave out refunds as well as promising to fix the game and add shit in so take that how you will. Personally I love the game however when you look at P:HG you get no apologies or communication at all, no feed back and that pisses me off more.

To put it in perspective as well, 2077 was in development for a LONG time.

Sort of how long we all have been waiting for a new Predator game.

Just confused how the radio silence is deemed as = builds hype, sets low expectations, provides feedback to the community. (By the actions of the devs from this title)

Im just shocked to feel how little trust and faith they gave us pred fans with no apology for the mistreatment, with double downing on the production of this game and keeping everyone in the dark.

If I’m not mistaken within those 7 years the project was halted many times and at one point scrapped and restarted from scratch still that’s no excuse especially for overhyping it.

More information would be nice, communication is all but nonexistent lately.

Or you are sent into a ring around the Rosie situation of posting here into this void of incredible yet ignored feedback.

They had two months to fix many of the bugs from the last patch and they didn’t so idk what to say about that other than what the hell.

@TentacleDadi still not a good enough excuse.

To ignore what has happened and to just look forward is only going to make this company look more ignorant and idiotic.

That further makes these bugs, patches and things seem “intended” instead of just simply producing a working product.

I understand your love for Predator and it is fresh here in the forums.

BUT

This literally can’t be ignored. Everyone is benefiting off of a large portion of this Predator fan base smoothing the bugs out for the general population of videogamers to have an incredible experience for 10 dollars.

Its fucked is what it is.

That was just all Hamlet was allowed to share

Thats what they are EVER allowed to share.

Us as forum goers feel we are apart of the creative process to a certain degree. (Rarely has the genuine Pred fan base requests ever been heard, it has always been to the newer, lesser experienced player)

When we are told and marketed “live streams where we answer questions” then once joining said livestream, to be told “to come back here to comment” is fucking dumb.

The fact they CANT share anything and it is SEVERELY backfiring for a ton of the PREDATOR fan base.

Maybe not their wallets since newer (unknowing) people jumping into the game now are reaping the benefits of the trails folks in the forum have blazed.

This game was never targeted at the folks that genuinely loved this franchise.

Its all for the $$$

Well, it’s not all them that says they can’t say anything it’s a big part of what Sony and Disney are allowing them to say and do. They are just the 3rd party hired to do a job. Kinda like my job in contracted security. Everything we do and say is dictated by the client and the company I am employed by so no matter what I want to say or do I can’t without getting into major legal trouble and losing my job if that makes sense.

This company is an “indie” company and has always labeled themselves as that. Indie companies ALWAYS have better response than corporate greedy companies that just shoot off automated messages.

How come a AAA producing company like Project Red is able to apologize for what it has produced.

Where this game “under an indie developer” receives the silent treatment? Actions will FOREVER be louder than words.

Are we not able to receive the same amount of trust and faith from a company to continue to support it after admitting faults?

Are the Predator fans not worthy of an apology for all the BUG FIXING we have gone through?

Are we not worthy to be respected?

Well AAA companies have more choices in what they can do they’ve made a name for themselves and are typically trusted more to make the right decisions smaller companies like IllFonic that are relatively new to the business have a lot of overseeing and don’t get much leeway into what they can do

So we have to be masochists through this process while they reap the benefits?

Everything they release is “as intended” and meant to play as poorly as it does?

As for better responses not always. And they may claim to be an Indie company, but they aren’t since a lot of what goes on happens above them.

Big franchisees even knowing someone doesn’t get you them unless you basically forfeit what you want to do vs what big bosses want or you have a huge chunk of change laying around and considering IllFonic has roughly 78 employees, which is small, I’ll go with the ladder.

Can’t say they were suited to take on this job, but Disney and Sony gave it to who they could say what happens easier, pay less shares, reap more money from. If they gave it to a AAA company they’d be paying a lot more equal shares I guess. Can’t say, just know IllFonic isn’t completely staffed for this and this was a bigger challenge than they could probably handle with how little employees they have

If they felt they couldn’t handle this game, they shouldn’t have taken it on.

I dont know about all of you but im still holding out hope that this isint the real predator game and @IllFonic are just playing one VERY long april fools joke on us all!! 🤞🤞😂😂😂

The matter of fact is that the media likes to overblow the entirety of the situation so that internet trolls have something to talk about.
I’ve experience next to no bugs, except for minor loading and control issues. But its certainly not a frustrating moment.

The game is fucking playable but EVERY INTERNET TROLL is arguing as if they ALL own the PS4 base which ultimately everyone has the most issues with.

The same goes for the trolls here who CONTANTLY COMPAIN about one thing that ONE out of 5or 10 people have. And simpley put, the issues are more on the persons end rather than the software.
