You can’t put any masks on Dante. That’s the way illfonic has it for whatever reason. It’s pretty stupid if you ask me, Dante’s head should be fully customizable.

Dutch 87 is a beast too, but he isn’t as OP as Dante Fanatic with any perk combination of thick skin, double time, gearhead, OWLF trained. If a Predator is on you when you’re alone, you can literally run away from him and tank like 4 arrows or 7 plasma shots. That’s if you want to run. If you want you can literally outdamage him so easily if you are popping stims and sniping it going brrrrrrrr with the 1011-12 pistol whilst dodging arrows, spear throws, plasma shots.
Dutch 87 isn’t as fast or tanky as Dante. Dante has explosive damage resistance and I believe sprint damage resistance aswell. With fanatic and double time he is the fastest Fireteam member in the game - yes, faster than Scout.
Even I can make PC Preds rage quit when I play Dante solo in publics as that’s the only time I play him😂

I mean, everyone in the predator lore was a made up character at some point, why does Dante have to be different to you guys?
I think he’s a great addition to the pred franchise. Dante is a fucking beast just like Dutch who any pred needs to be careful not to mess with.
Arnold was a body builder, Marshall is a professional football player. What made Arnold more important or fit for a predator franchise role than Marshall? Nothing, Arnold was just a big dude with a heavy accent at that. People like muscular actors, so what? Americans love American football, so there you go.

Most of the hate people talk to me about is because he is piss-takingly overpowered, and he isn’t a character from a movie, comic, or even a novel. Yes you are right about every character being made up at some point, but look at it this way -
Remember how overpowered Valkyrie was when she came out? Well that’s basically how Dante is for Fireteam. Difference is, Dante never got nerfed. When really good players play the game against a Predator without any Dantes, the Predator already likely has a 30-40% chance of winning. With one Dante, or even 4 Dantes as I’ve had to face, it is practically impossible for the Predator to win unless he hits every shot and the Fireteam don’t. Yes, I have won against 4 Dantes, but it doesn’t mean I didn’t have a head time. He is literally like a tank mixed with a sports car.
Good DLC from stats point of view yes, as he is literally pay-to-win, and yeah it does make some degree of sense for him to be in the game as he is what some may consider to be a badass athlete, similar to Arnold with his bodybuilding etc. But let’s be honest, how many people do you think would’ve thought you were kidding if you said the new DLC for this month in Predator Hunting Grounds is a professional footballer with a rocket launcher?😂
Playing as Dante is like playing this game on easy mode😂 even I can practically solo PC Predators in public matches as Dante😂 whether they are plasma spamming, rushing with axe, or using Smart Disc. In private matches aswell when I play Dante I can always survive a few encounters with a great Predator player.
I only play as him now if I’m playing public matches by myself and I bump into a good Predator. He is just too good. There isn’t a single pay-to-win Predator class in the game, as all the previously best Predators have been nerfed e.g. The City Hunter when he first came out, and Valkyrie when she first came out.
I’m sure other people can come up with other reasons to hate Dante. He isn’t the worst quality DLC though by a long shot. I think we can all agree that the Super Predators and Wolf Predator aren’t accurate or of the best quality. Also all of the Predators illfonic have made up for this game tend to not be that great. Valkyrie and Cleopatra are beast, but the likes of Exiled, Samurai, Viking simply aren’t viable. Meanwhile the only Fireteam member Illfonic make up is practically a Human Predator he is that powerful.

So is Dutch '87 that’s why a lot of the better pc players play as him.
To be honest I didn’t like him at first and thought just like you, like it was a joke. But, as time went on and I started using the character I started to like him. He is too funny with his voicelines and overall he’s just a badass! I think he fits right in.
Why not come up with reasons to like him?

True to be fair. And yeah he is funny the way he talks😂 sometimes he does a little scream when he jumps off a cliff or when the Pred rips his head off 😂

The only thing I think should be changed about him is the field medic spec. I haven’t really read his back story, was he an army medic or something like that? I understand the specs related to speed and explosives, because he’s supposed to be a top athlete with lots of strength and explosive power, but field medic? Hmmm…idk, I always run Unleashed with him.

Yeah I think the basic backstory from what I can remember is he was on a covert special ops mission and he ran into a Predator and ended up killing it with his Rocket launcher. He may have joined the O.W.L.F prior to that as his Rocket launcher is explicitly said to be used by them.
I usually run Fanatic, with SAWZ-50 Sniper and 1011-12 pistol, with stims, frags, and thermals. Usually use perk combinations of either Thick skin, gearhead and fast hands or just thick skin and double time. It is OP asf lol
Yea I usually just run him unleashed for fun and bombing preds. I find that he does very little damage with sniper, idk maybe they patched it.
For try harding I run Dutch 87 or OWLF snipers.

Yeah I tend to play as any of the Assault specs with SAWZ-50 Sniper and 1011-12 pistol. Usually running action hero, fast hands and either thick skin or Yautjas Bane. I’m one lucky motherfucker who has Assault Duelist and Assault Sniper so😂. I just like the versatility and hipfire accuracy to get a few consecutives going. O.W.L.F operative is goated if you run OWLF trained and thick skin😂 you practically never die. I like to play Dutch 87 aswell really. Sort of a jack of all trades guy😂. I only use the Hammerhead, SAWZ-50 or 1011-12 tho.
I agree with Dante and the assault, support, scout, and ranger are not in the movies and no one says anything about them
