DBZ Abridged

Good afternoon all,

I have a confession - I’ve never really watched any Dragonball Z past what happens in the Saiyan Saga.

I grew up surrounded by people who did, so when my friend (one such person, and who I’ve known from the time I was 15) found out he was baffled! He then suggested that I watch DBZ Abridged on YouTube.

I highly recommend anyone, like me, who wants to watch the show but can’t commit so many hours to fluff/filler episodes to check it out.

It’s absolutely fucking hilarious, stays fairly true to the original with a few exceptions, and will fit 2-3 (sometimes more) episodes into a single YT video.

Why would you abridge DBZ?

It’s nothing to watch a few episodes before bed

Or a few in the morning with some sugary cereal

As stated above, there are a shit-ton of filler episodes that I don’t have much interest in.

I never really got into the show because, to me, it was a crap shoot of choosing to watch an episode for like maybe 30 seconds of action and the rest was a whole lot of standing around.

I respect the medium as a form of expression and consider it true art, but it’s just not something I can dedicate time to.

DBZA is no joke a better retelling and handling of dragon ball Z than actual dragon ball Z

pretty sure the most common rating is like
1.DBZA
2. Japanese version / Subtitles in English (the original showing)
3. Ocean Dub
4. Funimation version
5. Dragonball Z Kai

Both of those are good, but my friend and I find ourselves quoting Cell from this very scene a lot.

DBZA is a fantastic series. I’m sad that we aren’t going to get the Buu saga, but I completely understand and support the reason why they’re not doing it.
