Eh bulletproof armor has been a basic of Batman for a while now
Not walking directly into gunfire though. Even in tdkr there was that goofy ass scene of him dodging shots in the same kinda pitch black tunnel setting. Apparently this movie is about him refining his techniques to be a better batman so I assume that includes avoiding bullets at some point.
