Its not what you think if it is compared to other games.
If it retains respect for the franchise we will return…if it continues to become a joke and no hope for the franchise material regarding a sequel movie…then forget it.
-It can’t be compared to DbD because its not a ā€œteenā€ slasher franchise. It is a sci-fi/action thriller…not a slasher otherwise we would not give a fuck about the human characters.

But they have been very good with lore so don’t get me wrong, stargazer units are a joke and i dont know if they will ever make take them more seriously but the rest of the DLCs asides from the era based Preds are serious…so i think if they focus on more serious stuff they will have our asses back.

But i think PS players will sweat in their jammies ( since a critical thinker will say they are completely useless on controllers) and call everyone hacker and a cheater and then this entire thread will go up in flames. Not to mention PS players are the only demographic that lets 8 year olds play the game.

Still breathing. Its always on sale like right now, and there’s enough of a player base especially on console to keep it active. Que times are still good, that’s the biggest indicator.

This game was never a big game to begin with. Even at launch it wasn’t big. It’s a very well above average indie game, but not close enough to be mainstream AAA. It never was, it never will be. People need to stop comparing it to big games like Halo, CoD, Battlefield, etc. because this game is just not on that league. And it hasn’t been around long enough to have a ā€œcult followingā€.

Good to see people having faith in this rocky game.

Predator was a shit movie right?

You don’t play enough my dude. We have encountered several rare specimens of children playing on Epic and Steam

m kidding about that. Of course man there are those rarities and they are learning…god only knows how.

Don’t know who’s comparing it to those titles. Those games you mentioned are far worse and prove that companies are just money hungry.

who cares about the movies?

Avengers are some of the biggest movies ever made and their games player base are probably the same as PHG,… (ie. very low compared to how big the franchise is)

Honestly the first one and PRedators are the only ones I think are serious. Maybe Predator2 but thats because they hired some gunky 80s peoples.
Honestly what would have made predator2 a better movie was if it delved into why LA was like that and gave some documentary style information…rather it is a joke about peoples fears about society and ethnic demographic. And since it took place in the 90s vs what we see it today, it doesn’t speak a lick of any truth. It just seems dumb and poorly written. But nobody wants to get into that…consider it a multiverse of some extreme scenerio.

They need to get rid of the stupid icons in the lobbies and enforce crossplay on all platforms. All those PS players who think they are gods among children while playing with crossplay off against toddlers, will start dropping like bird shit and we will weed out the potatoes. They’ll never know if who beat them is on PC or console. And it will end the eternal war between them.

Still breathing…

For now

It can’t be compared to DbD because its not a ā€œteenā€ slasher franchise. It is a sci-fi/action thriller…

It most definitely can be compared to DBD due to the asymmetrical nature of the game. Stranger Things is not a slasher and it is in DBD. The thing is, the game isn’t that and will never be big due to there only being one type of ā€˜killer’ unlike DBD which has many different killers that come from original ideas as well as licensed franchises. The Predators in this game have the same perks and basically the same specializations whereas killers in DBD each have their own unique perks and add-ons - which can then be learned to be applied to other killers. Also, DBD was released on Steam first and wasn’t relegated to the redheaded stepchild of Epic.

The massive difference between DBD and PHG is that Behavior is a much larger dev team and has the luxury of focusing upon a single game whereas Illfonic has a tiny team and has multiple games in the pipe. Couple that with the broader appeal of DBD with the killers/survivors and constant balancing, it is a much stronger game in terms of player base, imo.

I’m confused about your post.

Thats a very broad idea…The term asymmetrical only brings two different camera perspectives where although Kyboard and mouse would balance that, it ultimately screws controllers.

But although the idea is to kill each other, PHG gives both sides an equal advantage of tricks and tools.

Dbd maybe…Is it anything like F13? Because thats what I thought it was. F13=Dbd. The empowerment is clearly content based. Where PHG is clearly versitile/killer vs soldier, where the later is ā€œdo this with a paperclip mr. teen mcGyverā€.

F13 is probably more like PHG than DbD in the sense of how big and varied DbD is.
While the gameplay may be similar, F13 is, basically, a bare bones DbD

In that sense, is like PHG, which is a barebones shooter with minimal environment interaction.

Like for fucks sakes FT gets almost everywhere with crouch jumps. That’s as dated as you can be on an FPS. The only simpler thing from that is removing crouch and jumping altogether

OK, PHG is like F13. Forgiveme…man. I should start pretending i’m a babysitter in the jongo.
Or a tennis coach with a semi-automatic weapon and grenades.

if we compare simplicity, fanbase, development, etc. YES, IT IS

You are trying to compare game style, when the post is talking about FANBASE
