The bug in question causes the symbol on the first slot to change rapidly even though its not because you are failing.
This makes it impossible to defuse. I have tweeted Illfonic with video evidence of this as well.

Thank you. I wasn’t aware it was a legacy issue. I hadn’t heard of it before now or encountered it but I’m glad I am now aware of it. Its such a shame this game is plagued with terrible issues like this.
This bug is olllld… my god.
I think I was one of the first, if not the first to find it. And it is still fucking awful TO DATE. Because if you just stand there more than 4-6 seconds next to the bomb and fail, it is an automatic loss.
And not to mention all those friendly FT who put their trust in you and wait for you to finish the defusing, but you’re like “Well shit, guess we ain’t going home today”.
Fucking.

Literally just happened. Backed out immediately and ran because with the new glyphs you can’t make any mistakes, not enough time to reach the safe zone as Recon running with just knife. Fuck that bug.
