Every single time there’s an opportunity to defuse the bomb and I go for it, my character either completely freezes up and I can’t move. Or I can move but I can’t switch through the symbols to actually defuse the bomb. Defusing the bomb becomes completely redundant which sucks because it happens so often when the predator player activates self destruct and there’s nothing I can do about it to get extra points etc.

Usually resets, does the slot machine glitch, or does what you say, if the body rolls away from you on a hill or gets moved somehow while defusing.
If not then this is new.
The body is always laying flat on the ground and unmoving yet it always happens. Just once it would be cool to actually defuse the bomb…

Yeah … theres no explosions … and the body doesn’t roll away … the symbols are just stuck … everything freezes

Just let it expload and start the next match faster
Why you want to fight agains AI units and waste your time
It’s a part of the game. If it’s put there as something you can do then it should work.
Then if the body was moving, you have to w8 until it stop and after that try to defuse
Or if you are fast enough at defusing you don’t even need to worry about that

If you actually read the comments I said it’s not moving and it still freezes up. Meaning I can’t move my character or use any controls so no its not easy. It may work for you but it’s clearly a bug for me and for others.

I’m not saying the bomb doesn’t reset on myself occasionally, but not everytime.

Maybe you’re smashing buttons after interacting with the bomb and forcing a reset?
Just never heard of a “consistent” bomb reset before.
Personally have 4500 hours in the game. (Not a flex, just this bomb resetting has only been consistent early on in game and has performed decently until now?)
Basically when I first hold F to interact to defuse the bomb and the display pops up I end up stuck. Character can’t move the bomb display is still on my screen and none of the keys it’s telling me to press to cycle through the symbols work. I just can’t move or get out of disarming the bomb I just have to wait there and either die or another fire team member successfully defuses.

No I haven’t changed the keybindings at all…I know it’s weird but it’s happened the past two times I tried to defuse.

Honestly would be cool to have a perk “for predators” that can make the bomb “glitch out” and blow up faster 😅
But this hopefully will be addressed.
Just don’t expect fixes soon.

Yeah it’s only now they’ve gotten in contact with me about the issues with getting the bionic predator dlc. I tend to just not try to defuse and just run away and let it blow up but it just kinda sucks since the match ends immediately after that. Its cool actually defending the body even if it is easy and finishing the game a bit more properly.

I’ve had that problem before, when you’re defusing your character just freezes or the bomb diffuse screen gets stuck and you’re not allowed to try again. It’s been like that for a very long time, it’s rare though.
Most exp you can get in a match and imo the fastest and most fun way to level up is getting a pristine pred body.
Is also more of a challenge 🙂
