Despite what alot of peeps say, the plasma pistol still kicks ass 99% of the time when used correctly in public matches. I made a short video showcasing some nice plasma pistol gameplay, feel free to watch it if you’ve been having a hard time using the pistol <3

I notice that Down Range is kinda needed with the pistol now, to make FT fear the blasts.
The splash damage makes it more versatile than the bow, for most casual players, you just have to get used to the weird aim. And my favorite part is the effortless reload and infinite ammo.

Also the bow has really bad hit boxes so pistol > bow

You don’t even need down range that’s how good the pistol is, IMO hand held the best weapon change my mind

As much as I hate the pistol it’s one of the top ranged weapons

With the current damage values, the pistol will always be a jump/leap spammer’s best pick, because there’s unlimited ammo. Doesn’t really make sense, but at least they tried to do something about it in the last patch.
Perhaps a small delay/charge up to each shot would discourage using it that way. I’m probably a little biased because I think jump/leap spam gameplay looks like garbage.
Perhaps there should be a small stamina drain for regular jumping. I think so.

I can tell you leap spammers get melted… it doesnt work at high level at all
