So I pointed out recently that this game would do much better with releases strictly from the films. A certain someone who was very upset with my view point, told me I was entitled for saying this, and I don’t know what I’m talkin about. SO. Ok. Let’s play devils advocate here(roll credits) and say I’m wrong. What DLC has not been movie related? Samurai, Viking, Beastmode. Ok… and how were those accepted? Some liked it. Some hated it. Pretty mixed bag. NOW. Let’s take a look at everything movie related. The MOST posted about item in the fucking game, jungle hunter. Large success and those who don’t have him, want him. The most hyped DLC, at least it APPEARED to me, was city hunter. From… the second film. Then obviously we were all excited about Arnold. To the point where they released… A SECOND ARNOLD. And we all bought it anyways. Elder, who was, from the second movie… who I have literally heard no one complain about ever, except for wanting to see him buffed/nerfed but that goes for literally everything in this game. Everyone was excited to have him. And even alpha, who was BASED on the original design from the movie that didint end up getting used, had fans excited. I’d say, it’s fairly overwhelming that dlc from the universe we know and love is more popular, than random drops by far. If I’m wrong that’s fine, because there’s no real consequences I’ve been wrong before lol. But I don’t really think I am. Thoughts?

Thats partially correct. JH’s body only. Elder is pretty much the mask with alittle bit of grease on it. So i don’t know how well people would acknowledge JH being the single most wanted as he could literally be re-made with other parts. so to speak.
At this stage of the game, so many people are speaking out only to make themselves heard. well, what is it worth?
I think it would be wise for them to release him for free or for sale at a point in time of a major sale or something so that potatoes won’t just want to fill up the ques just to practice with him.
The dlc characters selection is puzzling. Even if they are like, i still think that characters from the movies would be instant hit. Perhaps illfonic is creating its own lore, but it is very bare so it would just be better to use movie characters

I wouldn’t mind these random Preds so much if they actually looked like Preds, but they insist on doing these moronic mashups with ancient human warriors.
Some leaks seem to suggest they’re working on bringing the likes of Mr Black, Scar etc, but they’re taking their sweet time about it, and in the meantime we’re getting novelty Preds and sportsmen?!

Hahah like I really would not care if they sold jungle hunter(I have him and yes, I truly would not mind) but even though elder is similar, they are still very different. Like clearly you can look at them and tell it’s two whole separate characters and people definitely really want jungle hunter. It gets talked about like once a thread lol
All I want is to have the gender locked cosmetics to be available for all characters. Female preds cannot equip alpha locks or viking mask. One of the main reasons I wanted viking was to put that sweet mask on my female scout.
Valkierie Pred (which was leaked recently) is your best shot at a female Viking style mask.
I talked to Hamlet about and he stated this on that, “On the alpha predlocks and gender limits on equippable items, I’ll have to check. Usually the limits are based off the “let’s not kill QA” school of thought, but I don’t mind feeding community feedback to the team.” So, it is quite possible.
I mean, it seems sk easy to implement that I originally thought it was an oversight that it wasn’t available.
Eh, maybe not easy because frames are different and some items only fit the male variant due to on a smaller frame it has to be entirely changed to fit. My only guess of why it hasn’t been done
Its this. They have to resculpt the cosmetics to fit the 2nd pred model.
I always assumed the novelty toy preds were the result of some kind of deal with NECA? Otherwise makes no sense omitting well-known preds and FT.
