It wouldn’t be as much of a problem, but how would they decide who gets what?
Random picking order, Apex style? I guess all the DLC would be up for grabs, good luck ever getting to play Dutch 87 or Dante.
In my opinion, there should just be big enough drawbacks to counter any benefits. There may never be a truly balanced meta, but a weapon like Sawz50 and a specialization like Field Medic are extremely out of balance compared to the other options Fireteam has.
Class stack is only a problem with multiple supports cus the dmg resistance or Dante. Others as long as FT is using the best weapons Predator can get melted fast, doesnt matters the class or specs even. FT base dmg is too high.

But those imbalances will immediately surface if only the weapons get nerfed.
Balance balance balance balance, if the devs do not play up to a certain level or are not in good contact with people who are stop expecting a fix when some dude on the team sees that the damage is too high on weapons and when he goes to try it out will say “I don’t know what these people are talking about, I can’t hit a single shot sometimes so damage must be fine”. Don’t expect jack shit, balance is a buzz word and not a a priority to game dev its content
You would queue up with a preference of playing that class. Evolve had a system for that and it worked like a charm. Granted you weren’t guaranteed to play exactly what you wanted every single time but it did give you priority over the class if you had it set as a preference.

Funnily enough, I’ve been playing a shitload of Evolve over PHG despite having almost everything done in Evolve. Only thing left to do is grind to Elite with every other class…
I applaud your efforts, but I’ll check it out once you’ve finished it. At this point, I don’t think Illfonic will entertain the idea of a rework, but you never know, I suppose. I do think major balance and gameplay adjustments are necessary if they’re going to reverse the mass exodus of players.
Haha I can believe that, Illfonic doesn’t think Sawz dmg is too high cus they never manage to hit with the predator with it.
The fireteam hast been buffed, that’s a fact. Only one with the hammerhead can take off more than a half of wolf’s life before recharging, so yes.
It is true that the square takes too much life. Before it was much better than now.

Yeah after I said the balance was fine I ran into a squad with two sawz snipers and I agree the fireteam is OP 🤣🤣 but only the snipers and the under barrel grenade launcher I feel like the rpg is fine since it’s a lot harder to land
