Not played in a month or two, played a couple of fireteams missions where we’ve melted the Pred. However when it comes to getting him to the stage of disarming the bomb, where you’d normally unload a clip or so into his face to fully down him, I’ve emptied multiple magazines into him and he still stays crouched. Have Illfonic made it harder to down and disarm, is it a bug or what?
Disarming
They’ve added armor to the Preds, so they are pretty much unkillable if you shoot them in the body when they arm the bomb. Next time, shoot them in the face. ;-)

Yes. You need to knock of the mask and get that headshot damage, unless you have a full team ready to melt the predator.
Protection
I literally stated I was shooting him in the face my man. Right there in the post
Again, I stated I was shooting in the face. I’m not a noob who’s just started, I realised you need to destroy the biomask.

My bad. The protection perk gives the mask 6x health making it much harder to disable a downed predator.

I’m not sure if you’ve tested this out or not but it seems every pred when downed has vastly different health (armor) for the mask without protection on. So far berserker has the most amount of health on it and can either be taken out quickly by a full squad shooting at it or one person with a shotgun.
We’re working on it. Downed health has an interesting dynamic with the mask and “armor.”
