Discrete Plasma Caster noise.

I’m not complaining about Preds using the Plasma Caster. I don’t like them, but it’s the most iconic weapon, and some Preds get melted the minute they go melee, so why not using it? I’m complaining about how loud it is. I get it… it’s kinda supposed to be that way, but I beleieve less people would be complaining about it if it wasn’t THAT loud.
Just my opinion. What y’all think?

I have this whiny friend that calls Plasma spammers “pussies”. He’s so childish for doing that, but I really don’t get how he hates Plasma spammers that much but he doesn’t say anything about Bow Cangaroos… just doesn’t make sense. I know… arrows don’t have splash damage and Plasma splash might (just maybe) be a little OP. So I started thinking… what is so annoying about it??? And I figured (I guess) it’s the noise.

Have you heard gunfire? I’d imagine plasma explosions would be pretty damn loud. I mean, artillery fire can be heard for miles. And that’s just the shell leaving the chamber, think about the shell detonation. Now imagine that on a smaller scale with plasma fire. In AVP 2010, we could clearly hear the plasma caster that shot down the Typhoon, the dropship that was going to pick up Rookie n take them home in the jungle.

I have. And I know you’re right; but if we go that way, all shots should be louder. I was just tginking how to make the game a little… I don’t know, like a little more… friendly maybe?

Like I said: I know it’s not supposed to be quiet, but… I just think it could be less annoying. Anyways… just my opinion.

Actually, if anything the loud noise is not only movie accurate but also should be benneficial to FT - you can pin point where the assault is comming from

I wouldn’t say that’s the issue, at least not for me. I think it just does a little too much damage.

I’m guilty for plasma spamming just because I know it does such good DPS, especially with the Ditherlinds and Down range perks.
