That I can agree with and respect how they interweaved all the movies into 1 game. Like it’s almost the perfect headcanon, by far the greatest choice was continuing the story of known characters.

My only problem is they are quite literally not allowed to do enough. The lore of this game has helped us avert another Prometheus & Covenant after 2018, for that I will always be greatful. But I really wish we actually got way more of it.
The story needed to start connecting to Concrete Jungle more. Its set in 2025, only 5 years off from the events of CJ and we see the Black Market for Predtech is BOOMING, which fits in perfectly with what Borgia Industries were doing. We should have more interactions between Stargazer & Borgia, some mentions of their “Promethean Tech” & the City of Light.
and with AVP solidified as hard canon for Predator again, with Wolf in the game and the events of the movies once again being brought into the fold, Stargazer SHOULD be doing something with the Plasma Pistol that Yutani & the Military attained from Wolf at the end of Requiem, that should’ve been brought into this game’s lore alongside Wolf.
The lore is fantastic, what little problems I do have with the actual story content in this game can be attributed to IN-UNIVERSE, the OWLF has no fucking clue what they’re talking about and that’s been well established since their introduction in Predator 2, so the whole thing in the Izzy Tapes of “They don’t repair their gear, they don’t have scientists” can be wholly attributed to Izzy either not seeing everything, OR it just being the Super Predators specifically are fucking idiots: which would make sense. Oh and also one of the new Novels has Yautja Scientists running around so we know the OWLF is again full of shit.
But yeah they did need to weave it into the events of 2030, and bring in the events from 2004 more. Aside from that, I’ve fucking loved all of the original designs & the return of Dutch & Izzy, and Keyes.

Okay on your Borgia industry and connecting to Predator Concrete Jungle, I totally agree with this and pushed this idea to IllFonic many times!!! I can’t tell you how much it would mean to not only know that story is canon in PHG’s but also that could be one of the characters leaked, the Cyborg Predator or in reality the brainwashed Predators for Borgia industry but that’s stretching it a lot.
And you know what it might be me, but I like that the humans still don’t know what their up against, it brings a level of curiosity and mystery that made the franchise amazing.

Cleo is probably straight up my favourite Predator since Wolf & Scarface. An actually raw as fuck design, badass feats and I love everything they’re doing with the whole Rival thing Dutch has going on with her. She deserves way more, I want a fucking novel or comic just based entirely around her & the other original Preds in this game, but mainly her.
Hell, do something like Young Cleo fighting Arnie’s Old King Conan. You have the Atlantean Sword that Conan uses in the game as a Trophy. You’ve given the Comic rights of Predator to Marvel, Marvel have the comic rights to Conan. I want that crossover, I wanna see Young Cleo Vs Old King Conan. I want it. It’d be a really good way to see the character’s origins, a good send off to one of Arnie’s classic roles & just be in general very cool.
Plus it could add more fuel to the fire of “Why did Cleo spare Dutch” with the possibility of Dutch being a descendant of Arnie’s Conan.

Cleo deserves a lot of love! Sadly for me I just can’t get over her design, like it’s cool and all but I think its alittle much in my opinion. However I do love how she’s Dutch’s “Moby Dick” though in my opinion I’d thought that Dutch would have a larger beef with the Jungle Hunter Clan but that’s just me.
Also I totally didn’t connect the dots on the Conan the Barbarian being the Broken Sword
And remember when at the end of Conan, it said he wore a crown upon a trouble brow…… maybe Conan knew something was hunting in his kingdom that even he might not be able to stop…… maybe Conan spared Cleo so as a payback Cleo spares Dutch

Yes also remember Conanhad respect for a woman warrior as per his love . Perhaps the story would go they battled and he spared her because his pregnant queen begged him and he gifted the sword to a wounded Cleo
Personally if I were to write such an event, I’d actually make it a role reversal of the original Predator movie. With Old King Conan just being way too much for a Youngblood, inexperienced Cleo who really hasn’t encountered Prey like him before: so she’s the one being hunted and Conan has a very Jungle Hunter like role where he’s an overbearing, intimidating presence that forces a Young Cleo to get smart, rely on traps & ambushes with guerrilla warfare tactics in a mirror of how Dutch would have to combat the Jungle Hunter in the far future.

Because it finally followed a character we can all agree we loved and was the face of the franchise so it was nice finally know what happened to the character.
Then why say it at all? Clearly meant to be exposition.
Kind of like the THEY ARE CAPTURING AUTISM AND MOVING TO EARTH BECAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING AUGMENTED CIVIL WAR. PERIOD. Not a question of whether or not that is the case, but stating it as heavyhanded fact because that is what the screenplay says, anything else is headcanon.
Preds not having scientists isnt a new concept anyway, they could easily be a bunch of slavers. And if they’re that up in arms about their technology is makes sense that its scarce.
