Ok well first off he’s not wrong to certain degree.
I bought the DLC even though I knew it was gonna be bad but I gave it a chance. The overall DLC is a waste of your money. Axe will come out later and there is no point to playing the actual class unless to look cool. I really just wanted the mask that lol.
I like the design but the fact of Illfonic centering there DLC is really starting to piss me off. Its like their tryna get people to play the game from other fan bases which is a good strategy but a viking in October? U could have at least released him in December and there were so many other things they could have did or created without a reference like AC: Valhalla. And I love Assassin’s Creed but PHG should still do their own stuff idk thats my take on it.
Now this morning I’ve been playing the Viking and he’s a cool design but its literally unplayable. I basically paid for the mask which is not worth 5.34 but I do enjoy it. The axe is sick as hell but is basically the same in game. Even with a different pred its not as effective compared to other choices. Now some people might say git gud or its an axe what do you expect and yea your right. But generally I win 8 out of 10 of my games and I am skilled enough to try new play styles, but the axe (even though its fun) isn’t something you should waste your money for on early access.
The alternate swings are dope and it does a lot of damage, but they are very easier to manuever around and tracking is still god awful. Plus with the new cool specializations the fireteam have its an easy weapon/play style to counter.
