Do these tactics work?

Melee can be quite effective if you use the elder sword. You just need to make sure you have some AI coverage and the guy is down in HP. You can down him fast by moving in, then leaping out and as people try to help him shoot them from range. This is just one example.

A very situational example. If the AI is causing enough distraction, if the ft member is isolated if the ft tries to get him up in open space. Does it happen? Absolutely, not often however.
Majority of good players won’t have this. Jump in for this move on the “isolated” player and the guys watching his back melt you with hammerheads after 2 swings, if you’ve got the stamina left you can leap out but at that point if you push you’re libel to go into second wind

Is it more that I’m lucky, or that most FT are trash?

Right now with an alarm triggered I found around 14 AI in a base at times. Yes, if this is a PC death squad you’re not going to do much with melee but the case before the last update in the vast majority of cases.

The hammerhead actually got a nerf, so you could argue it was worse before :)

This seems to work if it’s a squad of rando’s with no shotguns the best. If they have no headphone to tel the direction of your smart disc, even better

The majority of teams do go into the potato bin but I do consider having 3-4 people packed together close enough so you can elder sword them to death at the same time as luck for sure :)

As for the vids, most of them are clearly bad, especially in a game where you where in the open and they where all shooting you. Some other can’t tell, like the ones you killed as the ropes went down. If they got to exfil they could not be THAT bad and you could very well got the lucky drop on them there.
Also, using the net gun on them make it impossible for me to know if those players were bad or just the team overall was bad because they had a bunch of potatoes doing nothing.

But man, when I see you run after people and they don’t realize you’re there I cringe (like around 4:35).

I’m a decent pred, but not great by any stretch. Still, even with the recent changes I win around 9 out of 10 matches. It’s a bit more challenging and I do get hurt much faster, but still… The vast majority of FT are derps with no mics that run around by themselves and have 0 situational awareness… The devs really didn’t help the randos much. Even the PCDS out there I’ve faced it’s a toss up if I win or not, but it’s definitely sweaty for everyone. I have no idea how they’re going to “fix” things for top tier players…

I dont think game was supposed to sell more than 50k copies… i think there surprised.

This title was well over there head

Exactly they only breake the game for high level by buffing Bane.

Considering knife 1 taps most AI this is sadly better than running around with wristblades combos getting parried

Personally it’s rare that I engage with npc’s if it can be avoided, alot of the time they can spot you when cloaked if they got a glimpse of you. The best plan of action I use (especially since they upped the npc damage to FT), let the npc’s weaken them and I tend to stay close but very rarely do I engage when all 4 are near each other, wait for opportunity and attack single rambos or 2 at the most. I found its best taking this approach and usually the fireteam are weak by the time the chopper is called, then go balls to the walls at the pickup. So I wouldn’t say this guy used a good tactic no

Predators call alarms. If you try running in with your knife you’re going to lose a ton of HP. When you get into a base with 14 AI that also have heavies… GL with your knife.

@ 4:50 How did you switch your weapon without opening up the weapon wheel? I saw you in the jungle the other day as pred, good game!

Net gun is left handed, so it doesn’t need to be swapped out. Like the Bow, and the wristlauncher. You can transition directly to wrist blades.
