I don’t consider it a failure at all yet. Is it lackluster? Sure.
It’s been Four days since it launched, we’ve seen a patch PRIOR to launch after the trial, and we’ve seen a Hotfix already deployed two days into launch…And NOW will be seeing another patch coming very soon.
For how small the Illfonic studio is, the still ongoing pandemic crisis in the world…I would say they are actually doing a great job at attempting to alleviate the largest glaring issues currently in this game.
I’ve seen far larger studios put out less updates and content slower than this, and they were AAA studios.
Give it time, the future prospective updates will give us a better idea of where this game is going and how fast…

There is no integrity left video games are just corporate income creative influence has been stifled its all about the amount of money they can make vs the amount of work they have to do ( as with anything).
But it really shows that this game was about the money, whoever built the original rendering and everything il tip my hat to you its beautiful.
Im sorry they took it right from there and sent it out with no reason to actually exist.
If that isnt the first thing addressed no amount of balancing will matter.

game is fucking awesome! (not perfect, but fun) cant wait to see the new patch and future DLC… ill give them moar dev moenys for sure if they keep on top of things!

depends on how you define failure, currently in its state, it kinda is, because i define failure anything short of at least “good” , so far the reviews are out and its not looking good, i personally can’t blame them
but thats not to say that i won’t wait for the updates and hopefully my mind would change, they have a plan, though i have my doubts, but i also have my hopes

however that statement also bothers me, why do we need to wait more time for this game to be fixed per say, did they honestly just released a beta and had the people pay full price while they work on it?
The only thing I’m never fond of from a dev stand point of view is when there is no clarity.
I like knowing what they have in the works, or where their heads are at as far as things go…I dislike the “Surprised here’s a patch and this is what we did!” kinda thing
They all handle things this way.
They dont have a plan yet that update was to calm us down abit ,the patch will affect knife and fireteam meds prolly thats it.
Untill the do formulate a plan
This isn’t about pleasing everyone. It’s about the fact they released and sold an unfinished game as a finished product.

Name one that is in 2020, finished I mean? Look a Recon, CoD, all of them. And a game is never ever finished, there are always bugs and always ways to make it better.
Thats true but can you honestly say this feels anything more then a demo with this little content? No score board? And nothing after lvl 100 be nice to think this game had more of a point then mindlessly killing.

And no, you knew what you were buying when you bought it. This game is so much fun, I dont get why people cant just enjoy what they have. But, thats the generation these days.
And just like all those others this one wont make it. He’s not saying it’s unique…it’s that they did this again and this doesn’t hold very well in the Asym genre.
Deathgarden was horrible.
Last Year is on the rocks as well.
When poorly put together Asym games are released the issues are VERY noticeable VERY quickly.
The game can still be fixed with polish and a few tweaks here and there.

What is so hard to understand is …
Why they didn’t release a patch so far to fix predator gameplay and matchmaking?
Day after day, waiting times are increasing, and now after this i’m finding myself in an empty lobby!
Not only sales will go down, but also the number of players.
Sony must be f…g pissed!
The game has many players. I can find a match under 30 seconds as Fireteam on PS4.

Thinking anyone is “pissed” is just immature. Reviews are fair game and I’m sure developers and publishers are well versed in managing these sorts of things. Look how Sony handled No Man’s Sky, and that game had some of the worst public backlash any game has ever seen and it still sold a metric ton as well as turned it around.
It will come down to if Illfonic has the ability to fix the issues and I believe they do. Time will tell.
