Honestly they’re most likely laying low here because of the toxicity. Definitely not an uncommon practice. DBD went through it back in the day, DBD also has a LOT more traffic than P:HG.
Does anyone else feel the devs are gunna neglect this game?
DBD started off in the same place this game did to be fair. But they still manage to talk with their community on official forums. Totally agree though, DBD to this day is the most toxic community I’ve ever witnessed.
The speed that they have been patching is actually unprecedented in any game I have played before.
This just shows that players are really not able to be satisfied.
If they started live streaming every devs entire work day and their internet went down for a couple of hours people would post that they are neglecting the game because they have been down for 2 hours.

Very true. But Behaviour and Starbreeze have been around a LOT longer, have larger teams, portfolios, experiences, etc. Illfonic is small, and honestly they’re still growing, learning, etc. I’m definitely a fan of theirs, but there’s definitely a little jank that comes with their titles.
I hear everything you are saying but we all did pay for the game and it is an online only game and the estimated time and connection issues suck hard, que times are fine 5 minute estimated times are fine, but 5 minute estimated que times and 15 minute actual wait times for the game to bug out when it finally starts to connect isnt, its an online only game why release it even after its had a beta for the matchmaking to be broken, its not like you can actually play a campaign while you wait for it to be fixed, everything else is understandable in terms of teething problems, but 30 plus minute waiting times for 1 game when it says 5 minutes sucks bad.

Surely waiting for toxicity to die out in the forums, it’s overwhelming. Shit, I’m just a fan and it’s exhausting to me. The same complaints, demands, whining, toxicity, etc. Over 20-30+ threads exist for each individual issue, and that number grows every day. A CM couldn’t fix this issue. Their replies would make some people happy, sure, but there would be others they would get even more toxic as a result. So until that chills, I’m sure they’re going to just keep churning out fixes and updates to do the talking.

hope so. ive had fun with the game and i do. well when i can play as pred. but tbh. i just closed the game because the que times was utter crap you know?

As someone that’s been a CM in the past, that statement could very well come later. It’s happened many times before with other devs, pubs, and titles. Every time made sense TBH, and felt entirely just. There’s nothing to explain. People are demanding fixes, changes, content, etc. They’ve put out 3 patches in less than two weeks, so I’m sure they’re just going to keep grinding and let the updates do the talking.
You understand im just asking to play the game though, I understand the difficulties ESPECIALLY during these times
Of course! I wish I could help with that. I’ve had no problem finding games on PC/EGS. FT/NP - 30-50 seconds, P - 4-6 minutes. Honestly lately all I’ve been doing is playing private matches and grinding as I’m getting the most XP that way, haha. Not to mention it’s the best way for me to get the recordings as well. 🤷🏻♂️

Um theyve been pretty responsive and listening to feedback…The games still fresh and they already made multiple core changes that were positive to the game. First content patch will be at teh end of the month so we’ll see

Perhaps they should have fixed these bugs… BEFORE releasing a game??? Unheard of right?
They took advantage of the fact that everyone is home and bored and released an unfinished product.

Yeah, I’m sure with all the problems the world is facing right now Illfonic is on their GM Island not having any setbacks whatsoever on their pre-covid release date set by sony. Get a clue man, these devs are probably working from home on a overloaded VPN trying their best to make your ass happy. smh

That’s not how it works. You can only find so many bugs internally. Especially for an online multiplayer game. External testing is always required. With PC, there are SO many different hardware combos that can have different issues. They can do their best to combat the main ones, but there will always be room for error. They didn’t at all. These things are helped with running an alpha, beta, etc. They had a weekend, that was it. It was not enough time for them. But who knows why they couldn’t have more than that. Could very well have something to do with the contract that was in place.
