My answer yes, and for a few reasons why.
A)the livestreams are always on fireteam and when asked to play predator they refuse or say they don’t play as predator
B)fireteam just got these “specializations” and predators got none
C) some predator weapons are harder to use and sometimes you have to do ranged attacks and yes I know you’re not supposed to melee the ft only cause that gets you insta melted but I try and do a hit and run tactic so I’m not insta dead
C) Viking pred be kinda slow though lol
D) (not really a reason) but currently the only reason I still play this game is because @Courier and @OldKingHamlet are literally the only ones who actually listen to us and try and communicate with their team
But anyways guys I still love playing the game, just fix the bugs please, for the sake of it. Stay safe during COVID!

Honestly, except for that “wtf” moment during before 2:00 and the bullshit revive speed of Field Medic, it’s mostly you getting outplayed. That one guy with the Cloak Shots has pretty good aim.
You getting stuck on the ATV before you nearly got into Second Wind was literally because you kept spamming R2. You didn’t retreat far enough from a 2-Man sqaud with a high mobility Pred, so yea you got melted for it.
You’re not going to play ever again?
Two reasons:

Yes, they favor FT - this has been very obvious for a while now - they prefer the standard FPS CoD style gameplay.

They know Pred is buggy as hell and it would be embarrassing for them to experience the numerous issues while streaming as one.

That part at 2:00 fundamentally changes the course of the match. I’m tired of the FT ass wiping. Self revive? Come the fuck on. They already have 4 downs and a come back from the dead button. A guy with zero health (IE dead) on the ground takes a full charge caster shot plus multiple uncharged hits. That right there is this game in a nutshell.
Getting stuck is a product of shit level design. Spamming R2? Dude come on. You can’t spam melee. That’s like saying shooting is spamming R2 or spamming bullets. If melee is somehow “frowned upon” then it shouldn’t be in the game. But I guess agree to disagree there.
I don’t see how any reasonable person can see the FT damage output and think yeah, that’s reasonable. And at the end when I couldn’t sprint anymore…that was just it for me.
I’ve had half my health (city hunter) taken by two sniper shots. It’s in the video on my channel before that one. This update has made it clear to me Illfonic has zero interest in a Predator game. They want COD with alien shooting. That’s not what I signed up for in a Predator game. But that’s just me.
Perhaps the situation at 2:00 was something on your side, connectivity issues, never seen that before.
To be fair, Self Revive pretty much kills their opportunity to contribute much to the team besides than “I hope I get downed and don’t get claimed right away.”
They also could have had the Downed Perk which gives them more Downed Time = Heath. You also weren’t running Long Range, which also had an effect.
While you getting stuck was indeed pretty shitty, while I didn’t say you were spamming Melee; what I will say is that you were spamming your inputs as they were getting out of range, with a Weapon that has a relatively long attack speed. You became a sitting duck due to your inputs.
Fireteam Damage was fine a Patch ago. The Specializations need fixing.
I’m 100% with you. I was so happy with Illfonics progress before this update. I was close to actually recommending the game again. Playing both sides was a lot of fun. Thrilling as predator and scary again as FT (cloak buff). But Jesus, they really showed their cards here.

Fair question. And to be clear, I’ll come back to it when there’s an update to see what’s what. But to directly answer your question, it wasn’t this one match. I probably could have pulled off the W after regrouping. Still had a heal and pigs. It’s really what this match represents.

I had to use a loadout to which I’m unaccustomed and doesn’t really fit my style. Why? Because my usual style requires weapons that are currently broken. The game can’t function in even the most basic respects.

Insane, continuous FT buffs and predator nerfs throughout the course of this game. Very clearly one sided development. I mean Christ, just look at the most recent DLC. There’s no dispute here, it’s all documented in the patch notes (save for their sneaky fucking shadow nerfs).

Absolutely ludicrous game mechanics to wipe the FTs ass. Crazy DPS. Crazy amounts of damage they can absorb. Even when downed and bleeding to death. Spotting that now slows down the spotted target. Soon we’ll have OWLF class and a mobile reinforce radio on a guys back. Knives that do more damage than giant alien swords.

This is not a predator game. It’s a very, very poor COD clone with an alien. It just isn’t good. There’s so many better options. I think most folks here would agree if not for the IP, none of us would be here still.

I don’t look forward to it because it’s a shitty, frustrating experience because it’s so poorly made. Playing as predator isn’t thrilling, it’s an infuriating slog through bugs, fucked level design, and one sided fucked mechanics.

Playing as FT is so one sided and easy, but to mention boring, that it’s criminal. I don’t feel hunted and afraid, I feel sad for the predator.

Simple answer YES!!!
I’ve been feeling this way as Fireteam since before City Hunter. It’s why I stopped running in premades and play with randoms, winning match after match on the first sight of Predator became boring and joyless. Even now, playing with randoms it doesn’t feel much better. The only enjoyment I get is helping newer players understand the game. Tonight I’ve bluescreened three Predators already, in 4 matches.
