Does shooting down branches stop the predator standing on them?

Because If not there’s not much reason to waste the ammo.
But ifso, then you can really begin to pigeonhole the predator.

You can’t break the climbable branches, but you can make it easier to see the predator standing on them if you shoot the branches. smaller sections and leaves n stuff will fall off, giving away cover and camouflage
