Has anyone tested it yet ? The stats say that it does the same amount of damage with and without a silencer. Is that true ?
Does the grimtech 19 really do the same damage amount with a silencer ?
It does not. There is about 5% damage drop. However the thing shoots so fast most of the time is barely noticeable and because using the suppressor reduces recoil, is more accurate, so even if the damage is lower, you will land more shots so it compensates for it and you end up doing about the same damage.
Also, the lower the damage a weapon do, the lower a percentage nerf is. So, if one bullet does 20 damage, with suppressor it will do 19. Compared to other higher damaging weapons, such as the SAW-Z, doing 200 damage, using a suppressor it will do 190. So, the difference is bigger for higher damage weapons, while lower on low damage weapons
The last time we tested the effect of suppressors, the results were 18% reduced damage on all weapons, except pistols, which were 8% reduced damage.
