Okay so, when you complete the tutorial on the PS4, you get a trophy called “Learning the ropes”. Pretty basic so far, but it’s the description of said trophy that’s peaked my curiosity:
Complete all Lone Wolf missions.
Now, several things to disect from this, and the tutorial itself actually.
Firstly, the term “Lone Wolf Missions” is not used in game at all from what I can see. No menu or anything that uses this term, just this trophy description. I’m thinking that these “Lone Wolf Missions” were either:
A: The original tutorial for Predators/Possibly even Fireteams in which you’re running…a lone wolf mission. Possibly teaching you the basics like stealth, stealth kills, hunting tactics you know? But at some point in development, it was changed to the basic tutorial with the trophy description not changed.
Or B: They were a set of solo challenge missions to go against and have fun with, but either there were issues with them, or they decided they wanted to expand them further and decided to keep them out of the game except for this first mission, the tutorial mission.
Also, if you die during the tutorial, you get a “Hunt Failed” screen and the option to retry or go to main menu, sort of thing I’d expect to see if I failed a mission in other games.
I know it’s a long reach, possibly longer than Halo Reach, but hey it’s fun to speculate and theorise.
Anyone else think of this? I haven’t seen anyone else mention the trophy description here yet.
Oh yeah this is a game theory so I need to end it as such don’t I?
But hey, that’s JUST a theory, a GAME THEORY, thanks for reading!
