So this tweet was a fucking lie…
They promised cross play parties at launch, well, guess what, they fucking lied.
This is just fucking scummy, 40 bucks is a lot of money for me, and I spent those 40 bucks thinking I would be able to play with my pc buddies at launch.
What a disappointment, the game actually looks good, but i don’t want to support a studio that blatantly lies.
Getting a refund.

Seems like a lot of people are pissed about this, if the devs are just honest and give some insight about this situation, it might make people reconsider refunding

Yeah its sad i really wanted to play with my very good friend who has a ps4, and I have a pc, but there is no way of inviting him. Hope crossplay lobbies get fixed fast, we have a certain amont of time to refund, and if I can’t play with my friend I will simply refund, since 40 euros is no joke.

Primero, si esta activo el crossplay yo LOGRE jugar 2 partidas en ambos casos el depredador era de “PS” pero en la primera espere 15 minutos, en la seginda 20, luego espere con otro depredador de “PS” en una sala por 30 min, asi que cerre el juego y ya que no he alcanzado la 2 horas pedire rembolso

Just a thought, what is the point of crossplay if you can’t join a party with your friends. If you play this alone, cross play makes no difference at all, ps4 or pc, you are literally just playing against strangers. The point of cross play is to be able to queue with your friends from other platforms. Well, you can’t, meaning the only reason to even have cross play is not in the fucking game…
edit: I am sure cross play parties will be added at some point, but why would you even launch the game without one of its main selling points, especially when it’s a promised feature…

i don’t know, me personally i’ve encountered quite a few people from PC (i play on PS4). so i’m not really certain what to make of it, but if you were trying to play from console with your PC friends that might be the issue. As console accounts don’t really have a system yet for sending friend invites to people on other consoles or PC’s in general.
Yeah, I just bought a copy of the game for my son so we could play together and after repeated attempts and troubleshooting I stumbled across this fact. Why? Because it was said that would be ready at launch.
Also, the fact that they are outright refusing to acknowledge this issue in any way is a good indicator that it won’t happen. Maybe it was a lie to increase sales.
Time will tell whether it is an issue of a bug or slight delay on the feature, or if it was a case of deliberate false advertising to increase sales by misinforming the many people that split gaming devices between family and friends.
People already saved the tweet, so it won’t go away.
I, for one, got refunds on both purchases and will wait and see what comes of this down the line.
It is one thing to fall short and give the purchasers a real update and information on the whens and whys at launch, it is another to black it out and not address it.
With how common this is now, and how quickly it is increasing, I wouldn’t be surprised if new legal recourse eventually gets implemented for actions like these in consumer software purchases in the near future. Rightly so, because it is shady dishonest behavior that shouldn’t be acceptable.
Going to add that there are a few (top results on Google) giving directions on how to Crossplay in parties for this game (the method used is the common sense approach to doing it, but doesn’t work). Why? Because Illfonic directly said it would be available at launch and, like those of us that purchased the game, took the company at its word. Especially since there has been no comment/announcement/peep of a whispering mouse regarding this feature not existing from the company, most people are still working with the assumption that this key feature exists.
I guess they are waiting for more people to buy it and find out before saying absolutely anything to anyone regarding this.

The point is faster matchmaking, in theory, as you have a larger pool of players to connect from. Typically there are less PC players than PS4 players, so it’s helpful for them at least.
