I don’t know if this will work for anyone else, but I play on the PS4 and have found that the error only happens on custom slots 1 and 2. It does not happen when I select predators on custom slots 3 and 4 (I don’t have 5 and 6 yet). I tested this theory out by swapping out skins and weapons.
Hope this helps as a work around until a patch comes out.
