DOWN WITH THE MONARCHY! REST IN PISS #PACKWATCH

Is going to be a stepwise process. Yeah, there’s a chance that thee can be a disaster, but i think we have to capacity to succeed.

I am optimistic about the scenario. I ain’t a Nihilist, certainly made that clear time & time again. But it’s not something I’d fuck with on a whim. After all, the endgoal of Robotics is literally a Slave Race. Just without any nasty moral failings. Because to our knowledge, Robots aren’t alive. They don’t have a Soul; they can’t feel like we do. Ergo making Robots entirely to do our jobs for us, to replace the need for human labor is for all intents & purposes just a new form of Slavery. So, for many multitudes of reasons, we have to be very careful with how we shape & design Artificial Life. Because any living thing would certainly be livid if it discovered its reason for living, why it was made, was to be the unpaid & unthinking workforce of another group.

It all depends how advanced the AI will get. It is kinda scary that we’re making human-like dolls perhaps for companionship or just for esthetic appearance. Even before AI, there may be bionic/cybernetic enhancements which will need regulation.

That is also a very good point & interesting question because it branches into many topics & points of debate such as Transhumanism. To say nothing of how it would make bodies into weapons & commodities. Or how we would be opening ourselves up to all the failings & weaknesses of a machine such as computer viruses, software bugs & so on.

Could you even trust your own body after significant cybernetic augmentation? How would you know you weren’t carrying malware? Your body itself could betray your privacy to anyone who wished to violate it.

Its all coming i think. Maybe not in out time, but eventually.

With how rapidly technology progresses, I honestly think we do have a good chance of seeing it in our lifetime. How things will go down, nobody can truly say. But it will certainly be one of the most pivotal moments in human history which will go on to define our technological & biological evolution.

Initially i think it can be for health reasons. Perhaps to help control illnesses such as heart/vessel diseases, cancer, diabetes, metabolism I’m general. Requesting namomachines meme from @Durbs2001 or @Eshtion 😂

I think it’ll be a joint effort between healthcare & military, the two sectors which typically push technology forward the most these days. With overlap too obviously for Veterans who end up losing limbs & facing other such life changing injuries, being able to patch them back together into ultimately more effective & durable soldiers will be very enticing for governments around the world.

Yeah, military will make sense too

Thank you

After all, human history has been defined largely by two things. Prolonging life and taking it. Cybernetics in theory could do both very efficiently.

Not at all, you need a farmer to feed the doctor and garbage man, you need the garbage man to keep the city and towns clean and you need a doctor to take care of them when they get sick or injured. This isn’t a rat race, this is a society where we aid one another and support one another. As the saying goes “It takes a village to raise a child”. No one here is superior to another. Otherwise, what would stop people from getting rid off “undesirables”? And we all know where history takes that thought.

Not with the inherit capitalism’s need of pursing the profit margin exists. Companies will need to find ways to keep their bottom line up, even if it means firing, cutting benefits, or pay of their workers.
We have plenty to go around, but there is no profit in helping people. Oil and gas companies have the ability to stop polluting the world and purse better energy alternatives with their vast wealth but they choose the path they are on at the expense of the world going into uninhabitable rock. This is not the way should be simply because it is. That is an argument someone can also say about keeping monarchy, the King and Queen is above all and should rule all because that’s the way it’s always been, and we all know that’s a crock of shit.

Supremely false, as we have evidence where ice age humans have bones that were once broken and healed, meaning their tribe had cared and protected them. There is no profit seeking or incentive there other than taking care of a member of a tribe, no way is this even remotely close to capitalism. Also hence the meme:

Thank you for ignoring the points I had mentioned that debunked this. Read what I said about Guatemala’s attempts of going socialism, The Red Scare, and then come back here.

Not at all, when most of these inventions and passions were done on the side without capitalism. I mean look at the example of the counter of Polio. The invention of the vaccine by the efforts of a group of scientists lead by Dr. Jonas Salt, invented it decided to make it open to the public and many ask why didn’t he paten it to make profit. He simply said “Can you paten the sun?” He chose to make sure this can help many people as possible without profit. Meanwhile the pharmaceutical companies keep price gouging to this day, making sure their profits keep rising, meanwhile many die to not being able to afford it. This is one example where one doesn’t need the profit motive to improve the world without profit incentive.

Supremely false, as inventions were always done by people without the hand of capitalism. If you look at the IPhone, every single part of it were created by inventions combined from the public sector such as government and military such as computers. Micro processing chips, electricity, monitors, all of these parts were done without the hands of capitalistic private sectors. What does the private sector do with phones? Make them slightly bigger and maybe a new camera…wow such advancement.

I can even go further with concepts such as the discovery of gravity, the earth is round, electricity, the lightbulb, and other things. Capitalism was not there to encourage or start that discovery. Money to perhaps fund some of these research sure, but money doesn’t automatically mean capitalism.

Socialism does not do away with competition, as inheritably people will want to work and create new things. What socialism does is remove the rat race aspect of the system that allows people more breathing room to do so. If this is not the case, why is it that so many people these days cannot own a home? Why is everything so expensive that we cannot afford the products that we make? Why continue on leaching off other countries from their resources to our own uses? All about our growth and nothing more and if there isn’t any but the other guy does have em, we take it. Idk about you but that is arguing for imperialism right there and I ain’t about that.

Ok, this is just a sentence. This has nothing to do with socialism or capitalism. Like this is inherit to everything ever so again, just a sentence.

Due to inherit nature of capitalism, companies and businesses must keep meeting profit margins in order to keep up. If they don’t they get eaten by the other, which then in turn always leads to corruption in holding off others by taking the system itself to work in their favor. It’s the reason why oil and gas companies try their best to hide away evidence of global climate change and removing any energy alternatives as that would make them obsolete and ruing their profits. So they take to bribing politicians to do the dirty work for them by nulling any plans to pursue new technologies for a better tomorrow.
If capitalism really does breed innovation, then the oil and gas companies would in no way make attempts to silence or stop anyone from pushing for better and cleaner energy alternatives. Not to mention using the government to raid other countries of their natural resources like gas and oil, hence the whole “weapons of mass destruction” example I put up sometime ago.
