I second this. It’s hard to explain what is so wrong with the monarchy on this post but mainly this forum. Especially when everything becomes a joke and turns nasty. I wasn’t even going to comment to be honest, but felt like I have to add some information into the previous post.

As the monarch goes, they don’t really have any true power. Parliament was created to stop Kings and Queens from abusing their power. I mean if you look at the Tudor era. That was a madness all in its own right. If people think that the Queen has any control over laws and the ways of the world she really didn’t.
You also need to take into consideration that she didn’t really have much say in her life. She was told what to do for almost the entirety of her life. Hell, her mother didn’t even approve of her late husband. Her life was more of less dictated to her.
Things could have been a lot worst if the monarchy actually had some sort of rule. History itself has shown that. I’m not a fan of parliament, not really, but I’ve found talking about politics to be a sticky area so I won’t get into it.
End note, monarch has no true/real power. If you want to really blame anyone for the state that GB is in, look towards parliament. As said before the monarch is just a momento of how England was once ruled way back when. Bringing in tourism and money to the country.

Also as an added note that I don’t think many people will know. A lot of things will change here now. From the new King being sworn in, to something as simple as post boxes being changed.
Here is a simple list (won’t include everything)
National anthem
Post boxes
Passports
Money
Police/army uniform
Basically anything that has the Queen on it, from photos, to her initials. Most people alive in GB today haven’t known any different as she has ruled for 70 years now. There is change coming and people are worried about that. A little like Brexit, but not as bad.
Uh yeah here’s my counter argument. Monarchies are a fucking terrible thing on principle alone. Power is earned, not given by blood. Especially when half of the inbred fucks are from Germany anyway, they’re not even fully British so no blood claim to “our” throne to begin with. To say nothing of the fact I have zero respect or care for the Throne as one of Scottish & Irish descent. They’re all a bunch of inbred fucking pedos who live a cushy life on our Taxes. How anyone can love them or be sad they’re gone is beyond me.

Now if you are born in the following countries that makes you British:
England
Scotland
Wales
Northern Ireland
You do not have to be English, Scottish, Welsh, or Northern Irish to be British. British is a nationality not an ethnicity. So your point about her not being fully British is incorrect. The amount of times I as a British born Turk have to explain that to people from outside the UK is insane. Now, I didn’t think I would have to explain that to someone who is from the UK.
So, now that you know that, try not to make the same mistake, because you’re coming across as ignorant, bigoted and uneducated.
I have no love for the Monarchy, but try get your point across in a calm, factual, educated manner and people will most likely listen to you more.
