Iām not judging the Queen on her father. I think her father was actually a good ruler & did a decent enough job even if I hate his position on principle. But she had made no effort to return sovereignty to the natives the British Empire imposed itself upon. Everything about The Troubles should tell you exactly her policies on the matter. I judge her on her own failings, and she failed Ireland & Scotland, not to mention many other places around the Commonwealth, throughout her rule.

Democracy is a fallacy. The Tyranny of the Majority is a well known issue where majorities elect those who will benefit the most, while oppressing minorities. This is an inherent weakness of those political systems.
Not that an Emperor or King would do any betterā¦ but democracy is not as good as people think it is.
