Downed predators and armor

After some time looking at numbers in private match, we’ve come to some conclusions about how downed predators are killed.

It’s complicated…

  • predators take 50% damage while in second wind.
  • second wind health is about 1000, but continuously drains over time, and it’s difficult to get consistent numbers, especially with different predators.
  • once the predator is down it has full health again, but all damage goes through the mask first, and then the predator’s health.
  • head shots to the mask do 1.095 damage.

So what about the instant mask knock offs with point blank shotgun shots with an assault class?

Well, I imagine that the damage is spread between the predator and the mask when in regular health, but, when downed, the mask absorbs all the damage, knocking it off. Honestly, I don’t know. Like I said, the health and damage numbers were complicated. Still haven’t figured it all out yet.

Okay.

Good to know

Well that explains why berserkers are so much tougher to put down however Vikings aren’t that way at all and they have more health zerks.

Okay. You’re saying a downed Viking has more health than a downed zerker?

Shit forgot they both have 1500 health, what I’m trying to say is when trying to put down a Viking vs putting down a berserker the berserker feels like it has way more health and is tougher to put down.

Okay. That we can test easy. As far as actual health numbers and damage, it’s all over the place in second wind and downed states.
