I have a high end PC and when I play multiplayer, the games seems to be stuck at very low frames. However, when I play the tutorial, it plays like butter. I also noted that when I turn the graphics down all the way, it runs fine, which doesnt make sense to me considering my pc should easily be able to run this game on its highest settings.
here are my specs:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Eight-Core Processor GHz
RAM: 16.0 GB
Would like to know if anyone else has had this problem.
The optimization is really bad. It’s something to do with the campsite areas.
Test it yourself. Go to the edge of a camp as FT then look out to the water. Your frames will be 120 or so and the game will feel buttery smooth. Aiming will be snappy it actually feels pretty great.
Then do a 180 turn on the spot. Frames get halved to around 50, feels choppy, floaty, sluggish to aim. Just generally quite horrible. Even worse for me as i have a 240hs monitor so lower fps feels even worse than a 144hz (or less) screen. If you are running a 60hz monitor then maybe you won’t see it, but it is downright horrible for me and I don’t play FT because of it.
Predator seems to run better, but the problem is still there. Just less noticable in 3rd person. Although I do miss netgun shots etc sometimes because the aim becomes floaty in camp areas.
All in all, pretty bad.
