EXACTLY! It looks bad from the perspective of FT mains, and looks great for Pred mains ON PAPER.
But for those of us that play both, this looks like a it resolved a lot of balance problemā¦
and FT should be happy. They got that Combistick nerf they been wantingā¦

I hope so. Thatās not how āpredatorsā are supposed to be in the lore at least.
I have to say, as a FT player since launch, (because no preference never placed me as the Predator and I sincerely donāt care) that I like this patch. The FT is weaker but itās understandable. The Predator is buffed and ,again, understandable. I see that rushing as a Predator is not going so well, unless planned well.
Gadgets (Predators gadgets) seem to have much more of an impact for some reason.
The plasma cannon now forces FTās to automatically use a syrette,instead of waiting for a revive with half hp.
Less lag and rubberbanding to be honest.
Faster matchmaking. AND HOLY CRAP now people enter in lobbies with 1 person only holy sh*t (empty lobbies)
The combistick nerd made almost every predator think before going on a instant killing rampange and thatās good. I mean, the stick is still really good but requires more hits to down someone.
The 2nd wind blind effect is kinda pointless if you ask me, Iām a good pathfinder and even blinded I can still track him down, maybe longer blind or something would work.
Spear throw blind is cool as hell (I have to mention again that I havenāt played as the Predator).
Smart disc is dumb disc and needs a speed buff at least.
I donāt know what else to say, oh yeah, Predator Scouts and Hunters are actually threat in every predator playersā hands now, not just pros.
Grenade launcher is bad, at least my experience with it was extraordinary bad before launch and I hope they maybe did something about it.(6 ammo, slow fire rate, low damage even tho it says it maximum, bad accuracy bad distance. 4 consecutive shots to a berzerkers chest that was running straight towards me, point blank ,and he just moved around like a flower and killed all of us with the combistick).
Sorry itās so long to read, this is my overall experience with the new patch so far (except the grenade launcher, that was pre-patch) .
Just my opinion.
I agree with this. I think this patch tried to make one thing in particular, make the FT be more cooperative, and the Pred less prone to solo rampages.

Youāll probably stop having to worry sbout Berserker Melee wipes at the Exfli siteā¦
with the reduction in the Combisticks DPS, that tactic(and i use that word loosely) should be nullifiedā¦ šš»

and thats why its the least balanced patch for you, the fire team had like 80% win rate im sure that went down to a 30% sure sounds big butttttttttttt as you said its asymmetrical its ment to be this way i dont see the problem

Combistick nerf doesnāt feel like much canāt tell the difference, thatās ok though, I think the Predator is slightly overpowered, fireteam is gonna have a very very hard time escaping
Maybe because they didnāt realised yet this is EXACTLY what not to do when playing as FT.

FT has a high win rate against CRAP Predators. Went again a few really good predators (with a good FT) and Pred wrecked.
You arenāt supposed to just rush in as Predator. This is why they lose most of the time. The pred that downs a couple, waits, and then goes back in typically does better than the one that rushes in when FT is completely focused on them (which is the majority of crap players).

You know that the Star of the Game is the Predator, not the the Fireteam, is the fireteam that needs to do effort to survive and finish the match alive not the other way around.
If the fireteam is the stronger side this game will turn into a fucking dead by daylight where survivors bully the killer.

The FT is not stronger than the predator. All of them together, are, yes. But that is what gives it balance.
What you are not understanding is balance of the game. There is balance in 4v1ā¦ which favors strength to FTā¦ anything less than that 3v1, 2v1, 1v1 favors the predator more and more. If predator can just roll through 4 FT in one swoop THERE IS NO GAME.
The developers have gone through lengths to create missions (albeit tacky but still a bit entertaining) that do cause the FT to split up. These are the times that the predator is supposed to capitalize on. If the team never splits up - figure out a way to make them.

Thatās the problem. Idk what a pug is but Iām assuming itās a FT who says fuck the team and goes to do some dumb shit.
FT need to cooperate. Maybe a solo who could wound the predator sure but there should not be a goddamn super soilder who could kill the predator by themselves unless the predator is an actual piece of dog shit.
If the FT doesnāt cooperate, well fuck mateš¤·šæāāļø

Actually all my matches are in a balanced state right now ,1 win-1 loss. Pre-patch it was on extreme, either many wins or many losses one after another. But now it seems just, good.
Totally agree. Iāve played several FT games since the update and our entire team had been wrecked within monents of coming across the predator. Unplayable for me at the moment. Iām out till itās fixed.

Curious, was it a Berserker stick rusher?
Because ive tried 3 matches now where i could NOT be effective with ranged, whatsoever. And i was GOOD at downing players over and over, now i barely seem to make a dent in their lightspeed objective solvingā¦
Im at the point now where i dont think this game will survive, and i dont think Illfonic knows what they are doing, at all.
Gonna wait till end of May, they said they are dropping a ācontentā patch, if i see another jungle map in that content, im quitting this game for good.

And if the game is trying to force me into beeing a melee based Pred, that makes absolutely no sense. I didnt buy this to be God of War, i bought it to be a stalking predator with several appraoches, right now there is ONE it seemsā¦rush in with a stick and hope you survive.
