Dutch 2025 vs (Sexual) Predator Trump

I support Gambling in the same way I do supporting Drug Use. I want it fully legal & regulated and we can allow the STUPID motherfuckers to destroy their lives. I’m not going to gamble. I’m not gonna do Drugs, hell I don’t even drink anymore and I have never and will never smoke. But I support all of these things being legal & available with regulations & support groups because I believe in freedom of choice above all else and if somebody chooses to destroy themselves I am not obligated to save them.

for me it’s just dependent when my autismo brain set’s off and decides it’s time to spend 60 hours this month studying copyright like i’ve done with everything else i’ve decided to learn as everytime i’ve done this it’s just been on a whim of me going i want to learn this because suddenly i have decided it is the most important thing for me to learn

lilke when i learned about I/P over the summer (the short version is it’s super fucked)

Yeah Copyright is a very grey area for me. Some shit I hate about it, others I’d fight & die for. I think I support it on an individual level more than anything. A Corporation shouldn’t have all of these Copyright protections, but an Independent should I think is the simplest way I’d argue my view on it.

Like I don’t want anything I personally create to go to anybody else, the idea of anything I leave behind going to the public like 70 years after my death or something disgusts me. Its mine, not theirs. But I don’t hold that stance for say Marvel or Disney. Hell if anything the rights of characters and such they currently own should have long since reverted to the Family Estates of the Artists & Writers who made them.

Gambling can destroy families, not just individuals. That’s the bigger concern.

With hard drugs, it’s not really the adults that I’m concerned with, although that will still impact the health system with rehab and ICU costs, but mainly I’m concerned about keeds/teens. We can see that adults can be quite foolish, well keeds/teens are even more prone to that. Having wider availability is not a good thing in this case.

I value freedom & personal choice over risk aversion personally. I’m never gonna make these mistakes, I’m not gonna gamble or get drunk or do hard drugs, but I welcome it being a legal thing for everybody to have clean access to and we be able to help those who will accept the help if they need it. If they mess up & ruin their lives, that’s not really my concern as they chose to do so and that’s on them.

It’s societal concern. Sometimes you have to protect folks from themselves. You’d likely feel different if it got personal and happened to friends and family. You can’t always be there to protect them so society has to have laws/rules in place

arnold for president

Been done before. Demolition man

I am a family & friends come first kinda guy, very fuck you got mine, I have no reservations admitting that. But that also doesn’t stop me from calling shit out & I’ve pointed out to certain family members in the past that they have problems with alchohol & smoking and it is entirely on them if it bites them in the ass.

Anyone is allowed to make fuck ups, it is also simply not my problem to resolve because I am not gonna make said mistakes.

I agree that it’s their problems/responsibility, but still sometimes folks can’t help themselves. A few mistakes should ruin a life

There’s a difference between a few & repeated failure to improve one self. I’m all for supporting addicts, I want rehab freely available to those who need it. That’s not my issue, hell I said above part of why I want all of that stuff to be legalized is so we can create better infrastructure for support & rehabilitation whilst also kneecapping the bastards that illegally propagate it. But if you keep making the same mistake over & over, then I wouldn’t waste time on trying to help: at a certain point the individual has to save themselves.

Prohibition Era and the useless War on Drugs proves time and time again that banning these things don’t make things better, it just pushes the drugs and alcohol even harder, so banning gambling isn’t going to help either. Better to have social and economic safety nets that help those who are trying to recover from such things.

higher taxes for predators who long claim in front of three ft members

Exactly my point. Legalize it all & let us create better infrastructure for supporting those who need it & let natural selection take the rest. More choice, more freedom. All I care about really.

Faie to a point, but still addicts will be showing up at ER/ICU pretty much until they meet their untimely demise. That’s a strain on the system. You’ll have many more of them if all recreational drugs are available.

Fair, but then again this is extra cost on society

We are the most powerful and wealthiest nation on the planet, we can afford it.

Yes, take money away from programs that really need it to satisfy our addictions. You know it’s going come out from something else. We also have huge debt, but what’s a few more billion.

It’s just irresponsible

How is it satisfying the addictions when the safety nets are for treating them? You are not picking up what I am putting down.

Safety nets cost money too. Many folks are in a revolving door scenario. If you have it available to more folks, there will be more who are addicted. Overdose has a very weak safely net as death is a possibility.
