I donât think the movies acknowledge the comics as cannon. And before anyone insists they do, id imagine the studio that makes the films has never read a single comic book and nor do they plan to lol

The movies never took off? As I read this I grow more and more confused. Predator is a massively successful film. They donât have a million sequels because AVP is well kinda a silly premise and also itâs probably for the best we donât have a ton of sequels because look at âThe Predatorâ . That movie is well, cinematic cancer. Also I wasnât knocking comic books btw big comic guy Iâm just saying the cannon is the films. And by the films I mean the original, predator 2, and Predators. And hopefully we can all agree to disregard THE SHITTADOR that came out last year
It says it fits in, and is itâs own beast. That doesnât say it is cannon, just it can fit in with the cannon. Not tryna be a an asshole. As for me idc either way, cannon or not. I just hope the game becomes the awesome game I know it can. Cause these bugs⌠oh boy.

So in this scene when the Predator shot Poncho and Dutch, there was no red dot sight light. There was no sound of the pc charging up before the shot. So I would very much like a persistent reticle for the pc (similar to the bow) to make snap shots like this more accurate. And I did not hear any Pred-slobber noises until after it started firing its lasers, just sayâin.
And now yes, I can not unsee the Predator glitching and trying to get down from the tree while Dutch crawls away slowly on the ground, thanks for that lol.
For all this talk about fitting in the canon, with the amount of times that has been done with Predator/Alien Comics/Games and now this game, Iâm sure they actually are.
For 1, please see the Predator: Hunters series of comics. It is the culmination of a older group of stories such as Bad Blood and others, now including Dutchâs brother. It explores a group of Survivors of Predator incidents and their mission to hunt the Hunters. Stargazer is referenced as a recent presence in the story/world. Stargazer was introduced in The Predator, but we already knew that. The thing is, If these things arenât Canon, why was the Predator: Hunters 1 comic included with the Pre Order of a game that explicitly shows Stargazer elements? The only reason why Stargazer is being trashed as a concept is because The Predator flopped hard, and we needed OWLF again. Itâs like when the 1998 American Godzilla came out, flopped; it was later killed by the Japanese Godzilla in a 10 second fight. So OWLF > Stargazer basically.
If stuff like AVP/AVP:R wasnât Canon, why is Ancientâs Combi-Stick in The Predator? Why was there that deleted Alien Tie In ending scene that was replaced by Predator Killer Armor?
Dutch returning is a thing because people have been asking for Decades. The upcoming Lore narrated by Dutch will fill in the gaps concerning his story. Even the Hunting Grounds Prequel Novel will do this as well.

I mentioned Ancientâs Combi-Stick. Which was the weapon Ancient Predator gave to Lex Woods in the ending of AVP (2004). Watch The Predator, and it is on display in Stargazerâs custody.
Coz all this new content for only one things - for money, as it was with AVP movies, any nonsense comics and other trash - all that things about money. All that is not included in the original script of the first two films Predator and Predator 2 is an expanded universe and it is not a canon.

What is and isnât canon in any IP comes down to what helps market the IP in that moment. Aliens Colonial Marines was canon at the time of release but you think Disney would consider that canon now? Not a chance.
Man, donât be stupid, Any person or company can acquire the rights to a franchise and do whatever it wants with it, but it will not be a real canonical idea, it will be a thing for making money for people like you who are ready to buy any thing and believe in any advertisement that cannot think and recognize true quality and originality.
