They’re not holding anything or anyone to ransom. I have no doubt that the team are working their asses off, under insane working conditions because of this stupid scam-demic, trying to fix the issues in time for the DLC so everything runs smoothly. This is more than just eager gamers and their expectations, there’s a whole category of players that are here purely because of the movie and they’re the ones who will judge this as an epic fail or success based on how faithful and respectful it is to the Predator franchise. I shudder to imagine how expensive the rights alone cost them, and Arnold didn’t come for free with that deal I can assure you. This was an expensive venture to take on, and if paid DLC is the way to recoup investment and make a sustained profit then that’s fair. These companies have to make profit, nobody works for free in these industries.

Well, dev teams are consisted of quite a few people, the likelihood is that there is a team focused on patch work and balancing for the game, while another team is focused on developing new content for the game, so both teams are working simultaneously, I’m sure we’ll get updates to matchmaking and other known issues, the fact I still have 43 new items when I’ve ready inspected everything does bug me a bit, but we’ll get them in time, we just need to be patient and let the team figure out whatever it is and figure out the right code for the patch, in the meantime, let’s just he grateful that we are getting new content so early after launch, and most of it free as well.

Well, it’s not like the paid dlc is mandatory, it’s just early access to a gun and knife that’s being added later for free anyway, all youd really be paying for is the dutch skin, if you’ve a problem with it, just dont buy it

Expectation: a new patch ASAP to, maybe this time, make the game really enjoyable and try solving as many bugs as possible, but mainly the matchmaking, which makes the game annoying and non plesant. Even worse, after you already waited several mins (since the estimated time doesn’t fit the reality), once you got into a lobby, it’s not a complete one and will not be it. Maybe if you drop with other 3 people, RARELY one more will drop it. If not, just quit and try all over again. This main problem is killing the game slowly. Not to mention others like macro’s, stamina glitches, etc.

Reality: a new skin or maybe a class for FT.

C’mon @IllFonic, we expect much more… I know you are probably working on a new patch, for sure. But pretending not to see the feedback of your community it’s not nice from you. Like if it’s all working out as it was intended to.
Just careful 'cause once you lose a bunch of players, hardly you will get them back.

It’s awesome that Arnold/Dutch is in the game but being that you’re in first person as the fire team what you look like has little to no point, so you’re not even going to tell you’re dutch really. Plus everyone is going to most likely use Dutch so the game is quickly going to end up being 4 Dutch players all running around the map and runs the risk of it feeling silly and campy. Making the fire team generic works to ground the game experience I think. If they wanted to add in franchise characters then they should be NPC added as mission objectives (like a rescue) or that actually aid you (you could find a reinforcement radio that would call in an NPC Dutch or other character). Another good game mode for franchise characters is being able to recreate scenes from the various movies (much like F13 did in the single player challenges). Also make the 87 skin paid DLC. I didn’t preorder but I did buy the game day one and I don’t mind buying it. The fact you can see it listed in the game but you can’t access it, is just stupid if they are keeping it exclusive.

Thanks for clarifying that. I’ve asked around on other forums and comment sections on the game and everyone is saying you only can get the skin if you preordered and didn’t mention the field lockers. I know you can unlock the 87 helmet without the preorder. Have you seen someone unlock the skin via field locker or have you done it yourself?

I pre-ordered so I got the skin on launch day, I know for sure the helmet, not sure about the body skin. I’m assuming that if you can get the helmet you can get the body, that being said it’s a mythic skin, and I have opened close to 2200+ field lockers and haven’t gotten a mythic item yet. Welcome to the grind.

This game was cheap in the first place, how do you expect them to keep the lights on let alone pay developers to expand the game?? This is the best thing to happen for Predator in awhile so I hope they keep on delivering and I‘ll try to help by enjoying what’s already here and paying bits for what’s to come.

That said, I don’t see MAPS mentioned and that is a MUST! @Courier

I appreciate everything you guys are doing for the game I know its hard to get things straight cause of the virus but your hard work dosen’t go unnoticed i just wish other people can understand you’re trying to help us enjoy the game and to realize not everything is paid for they are getting free updates as well to make the game better. Yikes. The game was released only barely 3 weeks ago and you are already announcing paid for DLC? -Barf- That is something really crappy studios do.

By no means am I against paid DLC. What I am against is paid DLC the publisher was working on even before the game was released, that in reality, should of been included with the full game.

This is really bad business, and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I’d like to address to all the people on here saying, hey “it was only a $40 game…”

Last patch created a bunch of bugs - interface related… (how do you like that freezing between just scrolling for customization on your helmet) or the weird freezes when doing melee with Predator?

There is not a lot here to merit that, “hey it was a cheap game”. There are plenty of games from Indie publishers that cost less and have way more content and depth then this game. Also, some people paid $70 - full cost of a AAA title for the preorder… so that argument is moot. Stop giving “it’s okay to be poor or medicore” as a get out of jail free card.

Nothing wrong with throwing out DLC, 3 months after launch, when you know you got a nicely working product. Again, I would be excited, and even ready to pay for it if the developer was vocal and addressed the pressing issues many players have point out here on these forums. If they even play their game they would notice the very large issues very much apparent around the game.

Disappointed with you guys on this one. Pretty sure I’ll wait awhile before I will toss more money at you on this. Not down with rewarding poor business practices. AGAIN, GAME HASN’T BEEN OUT MORE THAN 3 WEEKS.
