You do know you have windows and open dooors where plasma blasts or a disk throw does massive damage, RIGHT? The predator can leap on top of buildings or very hard to reach places giving him safe healing and he does not need to run away. Furthermore, damaging players trough WALLS is just stupid.

He leaps on top of a building and they can reposition pretty quick to get an angle. He needs to move a reasonable distance.
FT will know what direction he is coming from so can prepare in the building and even if he gets off a shot he will eat the FT bullets.
Disk throw? That thing sucks.
If you think about it the damage through walls actually makes sense. It’s not some little bucket of water explosion. This guy is carrying a mini nuke inside of him for when he dies for christ sake. You would easily feel his leap smash through a wall.
Hence the point of this thread.
Hence why this thread and examples are existing.
“Still wins” - I guess that’s what happens when you play correctly. I also even mentioned how roof slam is an exploit too. What are you trying to accomplish here?

Winning with a overpowerd ability never gave me any feeling of succes.

That is what good FT do, they zone the pred to give their injured FT members a chance to heal, hell I have even taken a full charge plasma shot to prevent the pred from taking down a FT member that was stuck in a trap (I was a support running owlf and they were a scout).

Second. Predator has multiple ways of knowing where the people inside are and just jump close to them and slap. You can’t tell(if he does things right) where the predator is even in the open, inside where you are looking at the walls? Not a chance.
FT, unless using another exploit can’t shoot trough walls.
Disk throw is awesome, assuming you know how to use it.
No, it does not make sense to hurt people inside with a smash. If the wall does not fall, then no damage should happen. If you want realism (even if its not realistic) would you like to go down instantly to LMG fire? Yeah I do believe not. The predator is not the hulk, you can fight him in a sword fight and WIN based on the movies.

You don’t get it. It’s far too safe inside for the FT. If they want to heal up they should have to work for it not have some ace card up their sleeve. That’s why leap smash works through walls.
using plasma and searching for angles to reach them inside was a part of my gameplay and its actually fun to do :) if they are inside, i dont cloak and plasma spam them :D
if they are inside… their mission isnt going any further so you have time on your side.

Everybody has his own playstyle and that slam jump is something i use often, but not on top of buildings.
Different playstyles is fine and if you’re Vs a lower skill FT it would be fairer to use something less inefficient like trying to sneak a plasma shot in there.
But considering that at high level the FT is still definitely the stronger side you need to use the best options you have. Granted a strong FT will probably not be mass hiding/healing in a building.
Yes the FT have a mission they have to do but again you’re not getting that they are in there to safely heal up without that much worry. Leap smash says no, work for it. They’re not going to stay in there forever

This is the only thing allowing predators to stand a chance against a higher tier fireteam. It is the only tool the predator has aside from a quick spear throw where he can reliably out trade a fireteam member. Even then the fireteam can still just heal up as soon as it hits before he is able to attack out of it. There is also plenty of counter play to someone spamming the slam such as moving towards the pred as he leaps so he jumps over you and making sure multiple fire team members aren’t stacked up.

You probably worked hard on thinking of explanation how it’s not an exploit, right? Oh wait.
But let me help you. “It’s an exploit because it’s not working as intended as it lets predator player instantly move away from the center of the slam. Even if you are not allowed to attack the very same moment - it gives u the momentum to flee from FT while they are in a hitstun state and slowed down. You can either choose to close the gap between self and them or flee further away before you are able to leap. Normally it’s a high risk - high reward situation because if you are in a bad spot - you gonna get shot hard. Now it’s almost risk free because while the FT is stunned/blinded/hurt - you on the other hand “iceskating” outta there and making your next move.”
