Epic Games Launcher: Server Offline

Few days ago P:HG game icon in Epic Games Launcher went black and white and when I click on the icon it states “Server Offline”:

I was able to “fix it” by verifying the game:

It worked for a day or two and it again states Server Offline now. Verification will not solve the problem anymore.

I can start game directly by launching Program Files/Epic Games/PredatorHuntingGrounds/EACLauncher.exe however OAuth with Epic works only with DX12. If I switch game to DX11 it get struck on Authenticating:

this must be the work of @BeerWarrior66 as your punishment for acting a fool in the jungle

I have the same story, the server is offline

Use a vpn

Or

If you have 2 copies on your pc (steam/epic) try uninstalling one or putting them in different folders)

I have our team looking into this now. I will let you all know once i have an update.

Did you either you have the Yautja or Jungle Edition? Or did you both have the Standard edition prior to the rerelease?

I have Standard edition.

The validation workaround was false positive. In most of times P:HG server status is displayed as offline. However I was able to start Epic Game Launcher few times with P:HG playable (Server Offline message disappeared).

I was also able to catch log files for both scenarios and compare them (left side is NOT OK, right side is OK). It seems there is some timing issue with Epic account login…

In both cases it uses /login/id

Difference between manifest check is just function address:

Few lines later it logs deleting browser for empty login URL:

If the Epic Games Launcher works it also loads playtime (I guess Boxfish is P:HG 😂).

I’ve checked network for DNS resolving issues, however it is not the case, www.epicgames.com is resolved without error:

Connection to both IP addresses works:

No TLS alerts/errors or TCP resets, connection to https://www.epicgames.com works properly.

@FairYautja - Thank you for the all the information!

We reached out to Epic and seems this should be resolved on their end now

  • Can you check if the ‘Server’ Offline’ message is gone and you can open the game?

Yes, I can confirm it works fine now.

Thank you for your help.

Awesome - Thank you for letting me know!

I bought the Jungle Edition by pre-order, I have access to predator 1987

everything works, thank you very much, I am a big fan of the movie predator

I seem to also have this error, it says server offline and its greyed out

Go to your home folder (for example C:\users\nurdimis) then continue to AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved\Logs and open file EpicGamesLauncher.log

If you find follwing line in the log file then you experience same bug as we did:

Deleting browser for Url=.

If you find following line in the log file then you have different problem:

Deleting browser for Url=https://www.epicgames.com/id/login.

my epic games file is not in my original C drive, nor do I see anything under my user folder named appdata

It is hidden directory, you have to change Explorer settings… https://www.google.com/search?q=appdata+missing

Can you try rebooting you PC if you havent already done so?
If you have and are still ing see the Server Unavailable message can you send me a message with your name on EGS?

it seems to have somehow cleared itself up but thank you for your willingness to help
