Escaping as a FT

I think the choice to exfil should be available only when there is only 5-6 minutes left… That the predator won’t be like how the fuck did they manage to escape in the first 5 mins in the game… Legit idea if you ask me

Said it a while ago.
Go ahead and knock the mission out in 5 minutes or less. Chopper don’t hit exfill till the 14 minute mark. That’s fair and fun for everyone I think.

No.

Predator has more than enough tools to locate the fireteam. FT’s can be destroyed within two minutes of the match starting. Know your tools, your spawns, and remember that you’re more mobile than they are. You can find a fireteam very quickly, just go looking. If you can’t find them then run maps in private matches or just FT queues to learn mission locations.

Forcing the FT to wait just calls for abuse where they can’t do anything and get destroyed by the Predator in the interim. FT’s will also be more inclined to camp and force tank builds in order to survive until they are allowed to leave. And if the Predator can’t find them within a couple of minutes, them waiting at chopper is really going to help that?

Well yeah, I can fast rush a FT and beat them in under 5 minutes now easily. Could always and does still happen to me when i play FT since I never run premade.
The point is to change strategies and techniques across the board for more involved game play. If either team is racing the clock it calls for a whole different game play than sitting back with the timer. Don’t need a tank build but you better find and remember where every ammo crate was. No really abused and punished if you work as a team and push the pred back. Generally speaking from both perspectives the longer the match the more fun it is.

Final note…it makes it into a real hunt. FT can get in, get the objective, then find a defensive position and hold out until the chopper comes either trying to avoid being found entirely or holding off an assault. Both already happen naturally anyway.

It would still call for abuse. FT’s would need to run down the timer until the chopper gets called which means hunkering down somewhere where the Predator can’t reach them or builds switching to defensive playstyles in order to combat the Predator. The same thing happened during the trial as when it was discovered the spear was the best Predator weapon, people rapidly converted to Support and heavy weapons to survive.

If Predators are having a hard time tracking FT they need to change up playstyles or learn missions and maps. Putting chopper later doesn’t help that situation because those teams will still reach chopper if Predator needs 10 minutes to even start to do anything. That’s just bad Predator players.

This is a horrible idea. Unless you want even longer wait times.

Those who stick around will do so only to hunt Pred’s, why bother doing the mission, just kill the dumb alien and leave that way.

Also disagree.

Why would the Fireteam stick around for longer than necessary?
If they’ve completed their mission, they should be able to trigger the chopper.

Part of the Predators job is to stop them from completing the mission.
Many of the missions are designed to separate and distract the Fireteam so the Predator can take advantage of those situations.

I can’t see this improving the enjoyment for either side to be honest.

Why suggest trapping the FT in the game for 10 minutes doing nothing instead of saying “can we have a big map with more meaningful objectives pls” like everyone else?

This is as shortsighted as “let me shoot down the chopper” posters

Obviously missions would be harder and longer and no missions r designed to separate the ft they’re always together

It wouldn’t call for abuse cuz it would actually give time to hunt like a real pred. Pretty much every time u try to do that that ft completes all the missions before u do anything

I’m down for this idea.

Depends what you mean by “together”.

There are many missions where everyone runs off out of line of sight of each other to ‘activate’ some kind of objective marker. This is being ‘split-up’.

If someone is inside a building, and the other person is outside, they are split up. If a FT can’t immediately move his crosshair to cover his teammate, they are split-up. It doesn’t mean they need to be miles away. It only takes about 3 seconds to kill an unprepared FT member.

And using the AI guerrillas to your advantage is also something every Predator needs to get used to doing.

Idk y that replied to u sry bout dat

Every pred already uses the ai to their advantage.

And I wouldn’t say that being outside and inside a building is considered split up

I can think of one objective on derailed where they actually split up and that’s it rly.

I think instead their should be more missions to do for Ft and Pred. If the Pred as it’s own set and gives some rewards, it would encourage them not to Zerk rush a ft spawn. Also I feel the fire team should load in first before the pred, because with the maps being so small im tired of the preds being there almost immedialty

That is just going to be favored for preds and then noone wants to play ft. Instead they should add more objectives for Ft, and a few for the Pred to Encourage not to Bull Rush the game.

Ammo crates and health packs that spawn are destructable yes you would need a tank to hold out, and no I dont think this would be a positive change, the missions just need added steps that make use of the entire map every mission to extend it past 3.5 minutes per mission, though it was probably like that until they have a chance to get data on how we play. Suggestions like this are well put and I partially agree with it, that the missions are too fast but making people hold out on a map that you can cross as a predator in less than a minute through predkour and leaps is gonna become a run and hide game. People already use exploits they found on backwater they would just search out any other map exploits they can find if they do this to the choppa

Me and few others suggested before to have the choppa show up after 15 mins of game (objective finished or not) and then, after 15 mins of solid gameplay FT gets directions wher to go for extraction, heli is already there waiting for them.
