Lol despite what we have been told. I don’t think illfonic is as small as we have been lead to believe. But in a positive not in the reddit posts oldkinghamlet said the new game hasn’t hindered pred at all because they have a entirely different team working on it. So I would assume that means PHG is still good otherwise I wouldn’t see a reason to have a whole different team dedicated to another game if u don’t plan on continuing with the existing one as well.

Well, we’re a smidge more stretched on the community/social side, but the people who are responsible for the continuing content for PHG and for the launch of Arcadegeddon are two (mostly different) groups. There’s some bleed over, but for example, the QA teams are wholly separate. The people working on PHG are literally full tilt on it right now (Literally, I see the lead QA guy for PHG online right now, and it’s after 9PM where he’s at). We have two more announced DLCs and a nice big red arrow pointing to the future for PHG, and we mean it.

I can talk about Arcadegeddon, our new game in Early Access, a lot. We’re the publishers, and it’s a whole new IP we made, so we can choose to say more.

Massively relived to see that you’ve commented on the events today. I have a question.
- Will there be a new social media accoun/presence to have a general source of social media posts and announcements related to Hunting Grounds?
As I recall, the main links into the forums were provided by Twitter Posts (and probably Facebook and others) providing Links to the Fourm for Update Posts. With the Illfonic account now having a Arcadegeddon theme/marketing campaign, that pretty much leaves social media presence of Hunting Grounds in the dark, and with that, open knowledge of the Fourm.
If there isn’t a remedy planned for this, I would recommend hosting links to the Fourm In-Game to maximize Fourm Presence and even Activity. Having a sudden change without prior announcement is turbulent enough.

Yep, people are going overboard. This new game has obviously been in development for a while, and it’s not uncommon to have different dev groups working on different things. Illfonic aren’t Ubisoft, but they’re not so small that they can only develop and work on one game at any given time.
However, I think it’s safe to say PHG is nearer the end of its life than the beginning now. I’m not saying they’re just going to shut off the servers in the near future (servers can be left on for years), but the paid DLC and free content will probably grind to a halt towards the beginning/middle of next year.

Well I’ll happily eat my words then. Glad to hear the end of the roadmap isn’t the actual end. Just hoping for some real good stuff. I know I’m harsh on this game but only because I want it to be better.

That’s fair. More like:
-Hired on two new people in the last 2 weeks. Have to train them.
-We’re publishing Arcadegeddon, so there’s a lot more we have to do and can do. Like, we can launch an Arcadegeddon discord. And subreddit. And social. And the planning behind that.
-We HAD to airgap to prevent any leaks.
-It was freaking tiring doing all this.
We did give more attention to Arcadegeddon in the last two weeks (eg it was my team that was doing playtests with the press), and right now we’re running a lot on Arcadegeddon on social, but pretty much in the week or less we’ll be back in stride :)
I will, WILL be taking a long weekend after we’re back to normal though :p
