Exploit - Ground slam animation cancel (pc)

We are aware of the systematic ground slam tactics being outputted, but I noticed one Predator who ignored the entire “slam” animation. Which meant that he could move almost directly after hitting the ground.

I tested it, it is 100% legit, and 100% an exploit.

Basically, you leap + ground slam, continued by systematically slamming the “leap button” ->

So directly after the “slam” the predator moves around without any active animations until the “official” slam animation has finished. Combine this with the overcharge cooldown and GG. Ground slams every 5 seconds with almost no animation-lock.

Going to try and test this myself. I have had some instances where I did a ground slam and it didn’t lock my animation but that typically happens if I land in an awkward position like the edge of a building or barricade.

Confirmed - All you have to do is press the leap button once right after you slam and you can keep moving rather than getting stuck in one spot. This exploit along with cooling syncs would put combistick/berzerker to shame.

I thought cooling syncs was testsd not to even work. Its always 8 seconds

I wouldn’t be surprised at this point if it either didn’t work at all or was insignificant. I’ve never timed the default cooldown of overload but if cooling sync works like a lot of other perks they’d probably make it a 10% decrease which for 8 seconds means nothing.

Its quite an easy exploit to abuse but I can understand players figuring it out purely by accident. After a slam usually you would want to leap away straight away so I can see why people would simply hold down the leap button after slamming. Hopefully it will be fixed whenever the next patch arrives.
