As for Assassin’s Creed, it was OK, until it got to be a soap opera. Each year another game, with minor improvements and considerable innovation or change. Other franchises suffer the same, Call of Duty for example, and others just become a grinding money grab.
Is only so much you can do until you exhaust a franchise and render it “smoked” and uninteresting.
Given the choice, whether to eat a Chicken Sandwich from Burger King; or to consume a Rodeo Burger of an equal value… what was a king to do? But does one even truly have a choice?
