Countless times my aim was pulled away from a player, barrel, or predator by another player. Aim assist is not a necessary part of the game, and its just an inconvenience imo.

Hurrah! Some people now have aim assist. Can anyone else confirm? PC does not btw.
This feature is only for console players.
We will need to see video evidence. Looks like a win for playstation players!
I would like to see a playstation player track a pred leaping over him and tracking while firing. got to see how effective that is.
Its hard to aim on a DualShock analogic stick, so the developers gave them this feature to become more “fair”.
Btw, I play on PC so cant explain how effective it is.
I’m on PC with a joystick. My aim needs sharpening. 😁 Worst of both worlds in this case.
Its the norm for console shooters tbh, COD would be dead on console without it.
This game has sticky reticule during strafing though, its not really a hard aim assist like other shooters.
Its not a hard aim assist but i dont consider it a win at all. I can snap on mfs and hit no scopes all the live long day, my aim is fine. But when i try aiming at a barrel near fireteam, AI, or pred, it snaps to the enemy, not the barrel, and simply aiming away wont work. Like the one guy said, its a sticky reticle.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way. It was added in 2.05, and I’ve had an explanatory video in the works I need to finish. It does have snap to target. Example below.
The aim assist essentially accelerates your aim onto target, but no further assist beyond that. It helps improve hit %, but not really holding on target. Of course the rotational assist while moving is still present as well.
It’s good for snipers and shotguns, but only slightly improves sustained damage with assault rifles and smgs.

Only if you’re moving. There is no direct stickiness to the aim assist, unless they snuck it in with 2.09, and I just haven’t noticed.
Zoom function for predator. And some sort of grenade or timed mine. Some of those premades are sneaky , it would be nice to set armed traps for them.

The aim assist seems to sometimes also activate on PC.
I had a match yesterday where my crosshair was automatically pulled back to my target.
That was very weird and worrying until I found out that aim assist is a thing in this game now.
hmmm, not that i’m aware of. but i’m on keyboard and moue. are you using a controller? if so maybe there is this feature on PC too. Because i know controllers have a different menu to configure but all there is is controller options and controller mapping. No sight of aim assists or auto aiming assists.
