February Update - Does anyone else feel the same as I do?

Dear all,

Despite being rather fond of the most recent DLC, I also have a nagging feeling that I’d like to express to the community. I want to see if anyone else feels the same way that I do, or if you feel differently, and why?

This feeling is - holy shit there is nothing new until February they need to get this right or I’m going to
get burned out on this game.

I’ll list some distinctions about me that I think are relevant -

  1. Not a Predator super fan by any stretch, watched the movies for the first time in forever after I played this game.

  2. Played F13, and I am a huge fan of asymmetrical multiplayer game experiences, and am somewhat of a fan of illfonic.

  3. played the Beta, have been here since then.

  4. Fireteam Main, and have played approximately 99% of my games as such.

  5. Have all trophies except for the goddamn tree one.

I still find the game fun when I’m playing in my group of favorites [the Fireteam name is Good-Happy Success] but more so for the camaraderie and pursuing excellence. I’m just terrified that the February DLC will be on the same level - in terms of content - of this one, which is fine, but not if it is of such little substance and on a quarterly basis.

Anyway, sorry to belly-ache. Feel free to derail this thread with Phoenix Wright gifs or even thoughtful discussion.

Then yeah, you’re likely going to tire of the game quickly. I think most of the people who have stuck with this game have done so because they’re fans of the IP.

To be honest, this isn’t the kind of game you should be playing constantly for hours at a time and to the exclusion of other more involving/substantial games - it will get repetitive fast if you do that.

I love this game, despite not being a Predator super fan.

I’ve met great people, I enjoy the mechanics, enjoy scheming loadouts and Fireteam composition, enjoy being the power role and in the weaker role, it checks all of the boxes in terms of things that make me enjoy myself when playing.

That is, with one lone exception - no goddamn content.

Yeah pretty much anyone who is not a die hard predator fan has no issue playing this game and admitting it’s shit. It’s the hardcore predator fans (I am one) who have had a hard time admitting the truth

See, I’m not even there, I think the game is good, I have fun playing it, but, holy damn is it getting harder and harder to find the desire to play.

I’m fearing that it will have the same problem as the December update where it’s not much content for the extra wait.

The December update had some solid content but it just wasn’t enough and not only that it was primarily fireteam content. Yeah sure predator got one new perk but that’s hardly content.

If we have to wait an extra month then we should be getting content for both sides. If it’s just one then it makes the wait even more excruciating because you’re waiting 4 months for actual predator content.

But I’m also worried it’s going to be primarily fireteam content again seeing as that’s what the paid DLC is. If it is and there’s next to no predator content again then this game is done for. This game just keeps taking hit after hit and I don’t think it can afford to take another one before it gets knocked out.

Very well-written, explains the points perfectly.

I echo the sentiment. I judge neither the players for being tired or the developers for being tone-deaf, but both are a reality right now.

I’m a huge Predator fan, and even I am getting burned out. For me it is not just the state of balancing or lack of Pred content (pred main here), it is the fact that this game is absolutely riddled with bugs and exploits.
I kid you not when I say I have not had a glitch/bug free game since the update. Even on good matches it is always at least 1 bug.
I’ve also got a connection timed out error, which prevents me from playing 2/3 of the matches I get into, effectively tripling wait times.

We need the Airstrip and Peru maps ASAP. Personally, I don’t care about having a Predators style 3 v 12, but others do, so it would be good for those predators that are too frustrated to play alone.

OBVIOUSLY, we need the bugs to be cleaned up. It would be nice to play a game that feels finished. I always feel like I’m playing a work in progress with this game.

And a stats/trophy room, multiple trophies on our predator, or uncapped level up with it displayed during the match would be great for continued incentive to play.

Honestly, I hope they do a surprise drop in January like Viking that wasn’t even on the road map with the Super Predator they’ve been working on. That or come Feb. we get it with Isabelle to increase level cap to 200 or two paid DLC’s. I definitely don’t want to wait till April to get a new predator

Probably, but its pretty much guaranteed next predator will be Super Predator since Isabelle is coming

I am aware, I just am making a statement of it’ll be next Predator and doubtful we will get an update in January past maybe a hotfix and that’s if we are lucky

Our luck, it’ll be a hotfix with a few buffs and nerfs with a few bug fixes. They’ll probably nerf caster back to the way it was or the modified reserve. They’ll probably also buff the FT new rocket launcher and new plasma pulse rifle damage.
