February update: Good or bad? What are your predictions?

What are your predictions for the February update?

What kind of content do you think we’ll see and do you think it’ll be enough to help heal this game?

Or will it be garbage that hurts the game overall like the previous updates have done?

Will there be even more poor balancing decisions?

Will the update be your last straw? If it’s another shit one will you continue playing in hopes it’ll get better? Or will you finally put this game to rest and play something else?

I for one think it’ll be another December update where we just get a handful of new ft content predator gets a new mask or shitty perk or some other garbage. More shaders and of course lots and lots of new bugs and poor balance decisions.

Whatever it is, it won’t be my last straw. I just love the franchise.
We know we are getting Isabelle, and in addition I believe @IllFonic will finally give a little bit (but not much) of love to the predator to make him more competitive.

Given that Illfonic has taken a break, and they’d have practically 2 months instead of 3 to develop it (I’m not dehumanizing Illfonic, just saying), it won’t exactly be the best the new schedule can bring, but I doubt this new patch will be as broken giving new bugs like the others have been. Elder Patch actually worked with no issues, so I believe there’s definitely a reason why patches came out broken and not just because “Oh, Illfonic doesn’t know how to code.”

I think it will be poor balancing decisions, attempt at fixing bugs (may actually fix the bow bug, doubt they’d fix the audio bug), in their attempt to fix the bugs they’ll break the game again for some people, shaders are a given.

We are gonna get a useless FT member, some game updates, more useless shaders, and thats it.

Personally i would like some new weapons, maps, raise the player cap higher than 150. Those are some of the things i want to keep this game fresh and stop it from getting stale.

Honestly I’m excited, not only for a definite new fireteam member from a awesome movie, but I’m also so curious on what her true story and lore she will bring to the table.

As for updates or bug fixes, I believe we will be getting a few tweaks and fixes. However it’s hard to say but either way this game is fun and I can’t wait to see what they will do.

I just want bug fixes, and a new map and mode that’s actually good. No dumb design decisions like fucking CAVES. Seriously, what? And a mode that improves on hunt, not COD nonsense.

I’m excited for Isabelle but I have no hope for the rest of the update. Update after update of crushed hopes is getting too much for me. So it’s definitely going to be the last straw for me. Also February is when Little Nightmares 2 comes out so moving from this game definitely won’t be hard for me despite how much of a predator fan I am lol.

I don’t know about that one. Even Friday the 13th was a buggy mess 99% of the time. Can’t say for their other games though so maybe those games could prove me wrong. Maybe they’re incompetent. Or maybe they’re just chasing something bigger than them which is what ultimately leads to the situation we are in.

Absolutely. I can’t wait to see how they skewer the balance even more and what brand new bugs will spring from the update. But hey, at least we can always count on the shaders.

Wish I could share your optimism. I’ll admit I’m excited for Isabelle but if the update is as bad as the others it’ll probably be the first DLC I don’t buy. Which is a shame really. As I am looking forward to seeing her in the game and seeing if and how they’ll expand the lore around her.

I think we’d all love to see that at. A new map and mode that’s actually decent would definitely bring back hope for people. It would be nice if it was that leaked/rumoured snow map and if the mode is the 3v12 we’ve all been wanting. I’d definitely play the game a lot more if we got those. But that would be nothing short of a miracle at this point. So I’m not very hopeful.

Probably will be tbh. If it is I hope it’s a wake up call for the people defending this game. Surely even they can only take so much bullshit before they finally snap.

Hope they implement some form of ranking system so people can have a representation of their play.

Isabelle is coming with her sniper.

Map and mode could come with the free update.

Too much wishful thinking though.

A ranking system would be nice but not with the few players this game still has. It would skewer the matchmaking. If somehow by God’s grace they pull a u turn and the game grows in players then I definitely think it would be a good idea.

Isabelle will make a great addition to the game. But sadly, her alone isn’t going to be enough to save this game.

Map and Mode would be a real treat as long as it’s something a bit more exciting than just another jungle and a CoD rip off. Otherwise I don’t think it’ll cut it.

We should definitely keep our expectations low. But knowing illfonic they’ll still find a way to disappoint us.

Since Isabelle is a huge addition thats canon, i will suspect that they would given thought to adding a map similar to the jungle planet like in the PRedators film. Its a massive leap, literally, to another world they aren’t familiar with.
But it would be a welcome addition but a long stretch.
I would imagine she would have common chat wheel options. I would like to know how she is involved in the narrative.

That film alone has enough content they could have developed a long time ago but this game is set in the narrative they are aiming for which is 2025.

Her character is modern but not from the future. She’s from the Israeli forces, so somehow US and Israel is working together on the intel.
