Do Field lockers provide anything other than shaders? Seems a bit pointless if so.

Yes throphies and mythic throphies.

Shaders, trophies, mythic trophies, the base customization items like masks, predlocks, fireteam accessories. Mythic trophies can’t be seen nor can they be purchased while regular trophies can be seen but not purchased.
