Firearms things the game got wrong

After becoming an avid shooter for the past year and a half, there’s just some things that this game got really wrong regarding fireteam weapons

QR-4, Mercenary, Hammerhead

Assuming they are all shooting 5.56 and not 300 blackout;

The QR-4 should be the one with the most recoil, while the mercenary the one with the least… and by a significant amount. The mercenary is both heavy, because of its size and the added underbarrel grenade launcher and has a longer barrel and a longer recoil spring. This makes it shoot almost like a 22. It should also be the one with the most damage both upclose and ranged, the long 20 inch barrel would make it use all the ballistic potential of the 5.56 round (which was designed for a 20 inch barrel). The tradeoff would be movement and reload speed, being a much heavier firearm.

1911 vs Glock

Owning a 1911 in 45 ACP and an M4 in 9mm myself, the difference between the recoil of both is not that much. I don’t own a Glock 19 but I have shot them at the range and the recoil difference between the M4 and the G19 is minimal. While the Glock 23 (.40 S&M) is snappy as fuck and unpleasant to shoot, the G19 (grimtech) is surprisingly easy to shoot. The 1911 has more recoil, but ironically, a much faster trigger, which the game doesn’t get correctly. I can shoot the 1911 way faster than a glock 19, albeit with less accuracy (that at least the game got right). God’s caliber is no joke. Plenty of videos show how 45 ACP is just way better than 9mm at close range, but at longer ranges, the 45 ACP just falls to the ground and loses momentum, while the 9mm, albeit weak, delivers more penetration and has higher accuracy. This the game got wrong, as the accuracy of the 1911 is superior to the grimtech, which should be the total opposite.

The shotguns are just ridiculously off. They all shoot buckshot, good for CQB but not ideal for hunting. It also makes no sense that all shotguns have the same barrel lenght and yet deliver drastically different damage curves. The AA12 has an 18 inch barrel. The SPAS 12, 18-24 (the game version looks like the 18). The DP12 has a barrel length of 18 7/8, so in theory it should be the best of all 3 damage wise.

Aside from all that, the extended magazines are off too.

1911 extended mag is 10 rounds, not 14
AR-15 derivatives extended mag (coffin quad stack style) are 60 rounds, not 40.
The shotguns extended mags are basically impossible except for the AA12. No way in hell you can put 12, 2 3/4 shells in a tubular magazine for the SPAS 12. The DP 12 has at most, 16 rounds (14 in the tubes and 2 in the chambers)

I’ll come back and post some more shit that is way off later. I’ll cover smg’s and more of the real life battle rifles

where’s my full auto grimtech mod, without macros

full auto switch? that’s illegal bro

FRT is the new shit. 100% legal (for now)

BTW there’s plenty of frt’s for glocks and ar-15’s, and the ATF is trying its best to get people in prison for it and all cases are being lost in federal courts because their definition of fully automatic weapon does not comply with the mechanism of a force reset trigger (FRT)

6 years later, Illfonic still doesn’t know that every scope in the game is off-centered.

Two months ago I’ve sent them an email of what is wrong with the weapons, scopes etc, basically a wall of text with videos included.

I also included Predator fuck ups.

They didn’t even read it.
So my advice to you is, stop wasting your time.
You can’t help someone who doesn’t want help.

Scopes are not even right, but to be fair almost no game get that right.

The 10X scope is more like 4X, the 6X like a 3X and the 4X like a 2X.

You should have took up boxing

Thank fuck somebody said it

LMAO… sure buddy

Agreed! Cus you may not always have a gun but most likely will always have your hands (exlcuding variables) shooting is somethin you can get the hang of depending on what your shooting anybody can shoot some baby nuts pee shooters but when your really shooting with 7.62x39 or by 54 and up you gotta get that technique down to be accurate. So it does have a learning curve but boxing is a more in depth learning curve. This is coming from someone who does both.

As far as what jelou was saying earlier hes right to a degree but some stuff was off. He said he just started getting into it so no biggie

Do you watch the news?

Every day idiots are killing people with guns

It’s not rocket science

Point and shoot

Boxing

The sweet science

Don’t be afraid of a little blood/pain

You better be running miles in mountains at least and getting them pushups in soldier

Cuz believe me

When you’re huffing and puffing you won’t be able to shoot shit

Anyone can shoot … the same anyone can play videogames… The same way anyone can fight…

Sounds simple, until you actually hold a gun in your hands.

I had dudes in the firing range that would drop the gun out of their hands after the 1st bullet fired.

Dangerously funmy but yea seen it too, they werwnt ready for that kick back or underestimated it

I just want to make sure you’re doing your PT also

For balance

To be a Full Spectrum Warrior

Not trying to knock you for an interest in shooting just to be clear

I think it’s cool too

lmao… I don’t wanna be a warrior. I shoot guns cause I like target practice. If the shit hits the fan I’m running into the wild to live in a tent and if anything I’ll use probably my 22’s to kill rabbits and squirrels and live off eating that.
